Staff is friendly.
Breakfast is simple, but good: there were fruits, ham, cheese, sausages and vegetables, a few days there were croissants, there was also bread, juice and coffee.
The hotel is easy to find, though at first the entrance at night is not obvious, the first night I had to go through a parking lot to get to the entrance.

Sarajevo's an incredible, unique city that everyone should visit. I've spent time there almost every year since 2016. It's where East and West meet, blend, meld and harmonise, and it drips with history. Go to Gallerija 11/07/95 and watch the film Miss Sarajevo (30 mins), which plays on a loop at the back of the gallery.

Beautiful city, with so much history.
Beautiful city, with so much history. The people we met were friendly and helpful. Our favorite restaurant we visited was the House of Spite and we would definitely recommend taking the cable car up into the Trebevic Mountains.

Interesting city.
Interesting city. Do go up to the Hotel Delux near the flame as great views of over the city. I met loads of lovely people. Free guided tour with Adis was very good and the tour with Emir through Viator was superb as it was a 12 hour tour to various places. Mostar is an absolute must. Do not miss it. Churches and synagogue not always open so check times. Amazing scarves and their shoes are the best I have ever seen and the most expensive but great shops in the new part between the line on cultures and the flame. Think it is a city I will go back to.

Mosques and churchs are not welcoming visitors.
Mosques and churchs are not welcoming visitors. I don't know why.
I can understand people needs to pray daily. But would be better if they can have clear instructions for visitors about when to visit and would be really glad if we can get into the building.

Sarajevo is a wonderful, vibrant city with friendly people and a welcoming atmosphere (and not overrun by tourists). Prices are still very reasonable for groceries, eating out and touring. It is a very walkable city and easy to get around with pretty good transit and very cheap taxis. English is fairly widely spoken, and most Sarajevans will go out of their way to help you. All of the historic sites are worth visiting and it is great fun to wander the old town and eat traditional foods. There really is not a bad restaurant here and we highly recommend visiting Vrelo Bosne/Alija and the cable car to Trebevic.

This was the first European trip outside the EU for us for a number of years. The currency change (KM), fact they don't widely use card payment and roaming tariff charges did come as a bit of a shock, and I did feel like a proper traveller for the first day. The city has lots to offer - so much interesting history (we did a walking tour day 2 which really set the scene), the old town comes alive in the evening, food is excellent and good value for money. We hired a car and went to Mostar for the day - this was another lovely city and the trip made us want to do more travel in the region as the countryside is so beautiful.
When we arrived at the Sarajova hotel, we were shown a room that was closed without windows, even though it was not on booking.com. (a bad, dark and airless room) and they asked for an extra 60 euros for a normal room with windows. We said we would have to accept it, but they gave us a better room. Azra Hanım at the reception was helpful. When such a situation happened, our trust in booking.com was shaken. Please make the necessary warnings about the facility... I hope we will not have the same problem at Tbilisi Meridian Hotel.
The location of this hotel is so central however the street itself is not too noisy/busy at night. It was a short walk downhill to the main square (a bit steep coming back up but it's a short walk). There is also shops/food places on the door step. They have reserved on street parking across the road, spaces are limited so book in advance. The host was friendly & accomadating. I would book this place again if I were to return to Sarajevo.
There were private breakfasts with a private chef, just for me. A strong Bosnian breakfast for a long day. Breakfast is served in the basement, in the restaurant, but I had it more than once in the cafe, well served, chatting with people.
Very private parking free parking I like a lot.
Hotel position is minutes walk from Iliđa center.
Breakfast was very nice, staff was exceptionally helpful and kind, position of small hotel is city center, old town, room was warm and comfy. Could not ask for more. Superb. Will surely come again. Thank you for warm turco-bosnian hospitality.
