Set in Unitedville, Green Valley Inn is a lodge providing free WiFi, and guests can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Free private parking is available on site. Incredibly dedicated staff and perfectly organized tours. Beautiful complex, very lovingly designed. We could watch hummingbirds from our balcony. Unfortunately we both got sick, but Marcela took care of us lovingly. From medicine to the right food she organized everything to make us feel better. In addition, she made sure that already booked tours were postponed. She really took everything from us so that we could recover. Thank you for everything. It was a pleasure to meet you!
Located in Black Man Eddy, 13 miles from San Ignacio, Maya Hill Lodge has an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. Monika and Andre were wonderful hosts - she was so helpful, her recommendations for what to do and where to eat were excellent. Lovely grounds, delicious food.
Gumbo Limbo Jungle Resort has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a bar and garden in Cool Shade. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Beautiful setting and a fantastic location. Owners were wonderful - kind, helpful, going the extra mile. Highly recommend!
Located in Teakettle Village, 18 mi from San Ignacio, Dream Valley Belize features a restaurant and free WiFi. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. The people, the place, the food the drinks, everything was wonderful! Lucy, Carmen, Alex, Tanya and Roddy, exceptional staff! We would definitely recommend and we plan to return.
The location is great for access to other activities in the area, such as dinner in San Ignacio / Santa Elena, access to Mayan ruins, Guatemala, Butterfly and medicinal trail tours, and just experiencing the wonder countryside.
Unitedville is a perfect place to launch from if you have a car and are sight seeing in Belize. We we're able to get everywhere in the west in a reasonable amount of time from there. Perfect Location.
There are a few places along the road to get food...street side type and drinks. Otherwise, there is not much to do in Unionville itself. However, it is about half an hour away from San Ignacio and nature reserves by local bus. For a stay away from hustle it is perfect.
Easy to get to short hike from main road Cosy clean cabins with porch Get back to nature Good food Variety of activities and tours wthout long rides Informed helpful staff Good mix o visitors to meet and chat with and share their homemade delicious wine and stories
The town, village, is nothing special, but there are a few places to get some basic supplies and it’s close to all the places you’re here to see. Best if you have your own car. And driving in Belize is really quite e easy.
Maddy is an absolutely WONDERFUL host. She was so helpful, informative, funny and has created the most amazing guest house in this area of Belize. The food was incredible - she even accommodated for fussy eaters like myself, making vegan, veggie and gluten free versions of Everything for guests. Our hut was adorable, super comfy bed and mozzy nets (not Bitten once!) and one day we even just spend the time lying in the garden relaxing. Lastly, the land on which it is built is incredible - with its own trail along the river and spots To sunbathe, plants trails and we even spotted Some great wildlife. I could not recommend this more! Thank you Maddy!!!
