My recent stay with Francois at La Macaza turned out to be a...
My recent stay with Francois at La Macaza turned out to be a real letdown. Even though I booked the apartment three months ahead, things took a nosedive just a day before we were supposed to arrive. Everything seemed okay until the property owner emailed to check our arrival time. When I said we'd be there by 6pm, Francois said that wouldn't work because check-in was only between 1pm and 2pm. I tried to work out another time, but he just shrugged me off and told me to sort it out with the booking site. Long story short, Francois didn't stick to the agreement, and we ended up losing all our money. It's really disappointing how La Macaza cares more about making money than keeping their word. They make it too easy to take advantage of people. Bottom line: My experience with La Macaza was a big disappointment, and I'd warn anyone thinking of staying there to reconsider and look for somewhere else that's more reliable.Guest review byshunCanada
