The concierge services were excellent, providing us with directions for attractions and dining and transportation. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.
Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground to the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, movie theaters and food courts.
From there, the metro will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.
In summer, stay closer to the historic quarter and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St. Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t good enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to Montreal Casino.
Whether you’re visiting for festivals or fashion, gastronomy or culture, with over 190 hotels and B&Bs with Booking.com you’ll find your perfect home away from home.
The people of Montreal are wonderful. The biggest eye-opener was the vast number of children playing outdoors. We live on Long Island and you just don't see many children outdoors. It was a joy to hear the children laughing and seeing them playing and having so much fun. It makes me a bit sad that our kids here are missing out on such life-building experiences.

Montréal is a city with many interesting neighborhoods and things to do. It has an incredible food scene. Getting around is very easy. The more modern downtown is as much fun as the old quarter. Most importantly, people are polite and the city is very clean. I will definitely be back!

Great value 1 or 3 day all Iinc travel ticket bought at airport gets you on 747 shuttle bus to city centre along Rene Levesque boulevard for many hotels. Ticket also gives you unlimited travel in city on bus, metro & trains. Very walkable centre if based along here. The Aura light show inside Notre Dame cathedral at night was amazing. The botanic gardens near the Olympic stadium were gorgeous, especially the Chinese garden. Veggie food at its restaurant was delicious. View from Kondiaronk viewpoint at Mont Royal down over the skyscrapers was fab. Tip: unless you're healthy, don't attempt the 500+ steps of the grand staircase up, get bus 11 or 711 instead! There's a touching art & artefacts exhibition about the first nations peoples at the small McCord Stewart Museum. Adrenaline junkies can do the zipline at the river beside the Grande Roue. Art lovers will love this city with its street art & installations, statues, fountains, projections onto buildings, and flower planters everywhere. Theres as much shopping & eating underground as at ground level. Only downside is the traffic & roadworks. Use the metro! English is widely spoken but you may need google translate for road signs. Fabulous city. Would return in a heartbeat.

Montreal is a city that changed enormously overtime.
Montreal is a city that changed enormously overtime. People here became savages, with very little patience and very much too stressed. Prices have gone up....and was too much especially in certain grocery stores. You have to know where to go to buy some stuff otherwise, I just don't know how people afford those prices.

It is easy to get around. Lots of things can be accessed on foot but good metro and bus service.
It is well worth visiting the fine arts museum, food markets and going inside the Notre Dame cathedral.

We had a great afternoon at the Botanical Gardens and stayed for the ‘Festival of Light’ at night which was beautiful.
The Notre Dame Basilica was stunning and well worth a visit inside.
We had a lovely meal at Moravie, which we had booked otherwise we would not have got in, and were lucky to have 2 hrs of live jazz so well recommended.
However, Montreal is tired and run down. There is construction going on EVERYWHERE, and this distracts from anything you try and do. There is also a big problem with homelessness which the government really need to get a handle on.
We were recommended this hotel by our friends as it is pet friendly and we were able to bring our furbaby with us. The location is amazing as it was central and walkable to everywhere such as downtown, Mount Royal, and Old Montreal. The complimentary breakfast came with a variety of items whicu was great! The balcony was also a great touch.
The room was much larger than expected, and the beds were big and comfortable. The check-in was quick and the Hotel is conveniently located in Downtown Montreal, with only a short walk (15-20 mins) to the historic city centre. This was one of the few hotels with parking in this price category I could find, so that's definitely a plus too.
Great location for downtown Montreal and the Bell centre. Cora’s right in the hotel was perfect for breakfast. Although you are in a busy area the hotel was quiet.
