The cottage was cute, with upstairs loft bedroom. It was too close to ferry. Restaurant was awful. Someone just walked into our cottage in the middle of the afternoon; on another day, someone was peering in our window. If you miss the ferry, you have to wait 4 hrs in a town with nothing to do, hence going to "explore" cottages., while people are staying there. If you want to do anything "exciting", you have to go back to Quebec City or go to Tadoussac. NOTHING TO DO IN ST-SIMEONGuest review byLouiseCanada - 10.0

Beautiful town with a gorgeous beach. Wish we had more than one night to enjoy the town offerings. We ate at Le Quévillon and Restaurant sur la Mer and both were decent, although not excellent. A pearl little town.
A pearl little town. Beautiful landscape with breathtaking views. Motel Cofotel was very welcoming and offered a good value for money. The rooms are big and comfortable and there is a nice coffee house nearby. 5 thumbs upGuest review byYiffatIsrael - 6.0

Just a drive through after the ferry but would not recommend using booking for reservations. We got a room - supposedly the last in town - at a hotel - Cofotel - that wasn't worth staying at, and booking too a review on it I did not send, so if you are staying in Saint Simeon, do not use booking! Also, they kept posting rooms in Riviere du loup - a ferry ride across the St. Lawrence. I feel sorry for Saint Simeon as they are not a fancy town, but Booking and other tourist mentions do not make it look very inviting. The town is tiny, but near the ferry and very picturesque with abundant water views. There are very few restaurants and a tiny grocery store, so options are limited for dining out, but the grocery store is well-stocked with pre-made meals and sandwiches. St Simeon is a lovely tiny town on the St Lawrence River.
St Simeon is a lovely tiny town on the St Lawrence River. It has a ferry that crosses over to the south shore of the St Lawrence River to Riviere du Loup. We stayed 2 blocks from the ferry terminal. There is a waterfront park there with picnic tables, a public washroom, and water access if you have your own kayaks or paddle boards. The local garage fixed our flat tire without any waiting. We just showed up and they fixed it right away. Thank you. Across the street from the ferry terminal is a cafe coffee shop. They make great coffees and have baked treats as well as sandwiches and wraps. We ate supper at the Restaurant sur Mer, a quick walk from the Cofotel Hotel ( we were given a free upgrade) where we were staying. Every table has a view of the St Lawrence. There were no vegan options here so we ate a vegetable soup and garden salad and fries. We were so grateful for the kindness and generosity of the people here: from the garage Savard that fixed our flat tire in record time, to the free upgrade at the Cofotel hotel, thank you. We were given a free upgrade to 2 queen beds instead of one queen bed. The lovely lady at the check-in desk let us park out front with our truck, I think because we had kayaks and bikes on it. The hotel is on the main highway. No road noise, quiet room. We had a fridge in the room but no microwave. The sparkling clean bathroom had all amenities including a hair dryer. The bed was very comfortable and fresh. 2 blocks from the ferry terminal and three restaurants.Guest review byLynnCanada

The hotel is set in a picturesque location with a charming creek next to it. There's a private rocky path that leads down to the shoreline, simply breathtaking views looking out to the sea. The property also features an outdoor BBQ area, fully equipped with everything you might need.
