Sooke, township is a disgrace in town planning, ..there is none. We went into the town and did not find a nice place to stop. What a shame. this town could have been so lovely. Getting around is difficult. Walking at Whiffin Spit is lovely. So very sad to see Sooke Harbour House gone for a huge new development.
Love the harbour setting. Hiked along the Sooke Potholes.....also walked the Ed MacGregor Park walkway down to the beach area and watched several crab fisherman at work. Then out to the Whiffinspit for another nice jaunt. Bought groceries and gas. Nice little visit with relatives. Ate at the 17 Mile Pub back towards Victoria. Great setting.
Clean and comfortable. Instructions for using the TV, knowing what programs are available would be helpful. I came for family emergency so I could not enjoy Sooke as I usually do when I visit family. I ate at my family home. I have always walked around Sooke. I hope to come for sheer pleasure next time.
- Botanical Beach is very special, worthy to have a look - East Sooke Coast and Interior Trail Loop, trail along coast with nice beach view. You can play/swim on the beach if you don't really want to finish the trail. No signal in most of the areas along BC-14. Not used to use map without GPS.
Really enjoyed our visit - particularly the marina. Our only complaint is that a lot of the pubs/restaurants we were wanting to go to were closed. We were there on a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening.
Not very much to do unless the weather is great and you are fishing and can go to the beach. The town has very little to offer. It would have been nice to see more artisan shops. The ONE there seemed to open late and close early. We never managed to go there during the times it was open.
Loved having two bedrooms - one for our toddler and one for us. That's something you can't get at a hotel without horrible amounts of money. Space was clean upon entry, had in suite laundry, and enough plates and cutlery for 4 people. A few cons and issues to begin with (probably user error on I part) but overall a wonderful stay and the property owners were very attentive and quick to respond with any inquiry. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your wonderful suite.
Stunning Studio in East Sooke is truly a stunning place to stay while on vacation. It makes you feel that you are “coming home” after a day of hiking 🥾 in Sooke, along the west coast of Vancouver Island, and Port Renfrew. It is fresh-looking (updated interior and furnishings), laid out smartly particularly the barn doors in the bathroom — truly space-saving!), immaculately clean, and thoughtfully furnished even down to the use of china, cutlery, and kitchenware!

Central location in Sooke, close to all amenities and many beautiful trails. We found lots of papers with info about the area and things to do left in the living room. Fruit basket and complimentary drinks left in the fridge for us was just another warm touch to it. Place was super clean and quiet, perfect for relaxing getaway. We loved everything about it and will definitely be back gain!
It was a great location and close to many of the outdoor activities available in Sooke. The townhouse had a lovely view of the harbour and marina. It was well laid out as well as clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and always helpful. Will definitely stay again if we choose to go back to Sooke
Sooke
Location and the view was amazing, as it backs on a trail just off of a bay. It is just outside of Sooke, so getting to the restaurants there is easy, and it's within around half an hour of Victoria. The bed and room were quaint and comfortable. The hot tub was also a nice addition.
Our server (Sasa) at the West Coast Grill was amazing. Also the bartender at the Vault (can't recall his name) Grounds were beautiful. We didn't have a view from our room, but there were trees outside the window and not the parking lot so that was good.

Fabulous B and B. Probably one of the best places we have ever stayed. Wonderful location with stunnng views. Super clean, great bed, fabulous hosts and amazing breakfasts. We loved being there, we will return.
The room was quaint and clean and the hosts are nice and pretty much leave you to. The surroundings are beautiful. You have seals, a dock and the boat for sooke whale watching leaves from here!
The house is pet friendly and no charge. The back yard is very big and spacious, with a lovely pond. The smaller garden that is fenced is clean and perfect for us to let our dogs play off leash.
I loved the hot tub, the sleep number mattress, big enough for a family, having lots of food, firepit and the privacy. Super friendly hosts. Close to Juan de Fuca, French Beach, Sooke.
