Located 6 miles from Sooke Region Museum & Visitor Centre, Wisteria Honeymoon Cottage - Guest House offers a garden, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodations with a patio and free WiFi. It was my highlight regarding accomodation in BC. nothing more to say. Do not leave out the breakfast or the chat with Gail😉
Bellissma Suite formerly known as Sweet Suite offers accommodations in Sooke, 14 miles from East Sooke. Sheryl was really effective at communicating all the details prior to check-in and was present for check-in. Beautiful house, very spatious with lots of attention to details!
Love the harbour setting. Hiked along the Sooke Potholes.....also walked the Ed MacGregor Park walkway down to the beach area and watched several crab fisherman at work. Then out to the Whiffinspit for another nice jaunt. Bought groceries and gas. Nice little visit with relatives. Ate at the 17 Mile Pub back towards Victoria. Great setting.
Clean and comfortable. Instructions for using the TV, knowing what programs are available would be helpful. I came for family emergency so I could not enjoy Sooke as I usually do when I visit family. I ate at my family home. I have always walked around Sooke. I hope to come for sheer pleasure next time.
- Botanical Beach is very special, worthy to have a look - East Sooke Coast and Interior Trail Loop, trail along coast with nice beach view. You can play/swim on the beach if you don't really want to finish the trail. No signal in most of the areas along BC-14. Not used to use map without GPS.
Really enjoyed our visit - particularly the marina. Our only complaint is that a lot of the pubs/restaurants we were wanting to go to were closed. We were there on a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening.
Not very much to do unless the weather is great and you are fishing and can go to the beach. The town has very little to offer. It would have been nice to see more artisan shops. The ONE there seemed to open late and close early. We never managed to go there during the times it was open.
I love the serene location and the view. The fact that there's lots of things to do, and trails to go hiking, beaches and activities that kids can do. There's a store where you can get fresh groceries and seafood shop at the Marina . Try going to Pothole and French beach.
We love absolutely everything about staying at Sookepoint. The location is breathtaking, and the surrounding area is serene. We love being able to watch harbour seals, otters and orcas from the deck. Sookepoint further surpasses our expectations with each stay, and we are already planning our next trip. The condo's are clean and well equipped, and the reception staff are friendly and incredibly helpful with any questions you have, or to make sure needs are met. You can't go wrong booking a stay at Sookepoint.
Loved having two bedrooms - one for our toddler and one for us. That's something you can't get at a hotel without horrible amounts of money. Space was clean upon entry, had in suite laundry, and enough plates and cutlery for 4 people. A few cons and issues to begin with (probably user error on I part) but overall a wonderful stay and the property owners were very attentive and quick to respond with any inquiry. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your wonderful suite.
Less than 10 minutes from Sooke and 25 minutes from downtown Victoria. Very quite location for good rest. Room was warm and clean. Bathroom had a nice big tub. Layout and decor is very rustic and cozy. Host is very relaxed and did everything she could to make sure our stay was the best possible. I would come back if i was visiting the area again.
Clean, well decorated, spacious, access to outside patio with fire pit! Saw deers, grouse and bunnies! Irina and her daughter are welcoming. Wanted to stay an extra night but was already rented out! East Sooke Park is near and wonderful hiking! Robert L. July 2020
due to Covid breakfast is limited to Continental so hosts do the best they can with the restrictions location is lovely - great views and in better weather (we were there in very bad weather) the galloping goose trail is right below the house.
The house is pet friendly and no charge. The back yard is very big and spacious, with a lovely pond. The smaller garden that is fenced is clean and perfect for us to let our dogs play off leash.
I loved the hot tub, the sleep number mattress, big enough for a family, having lots of food, firepit and the privacy. Super friendly hosts. Close to Juan de Fuca, French Beach, Sooke.
The location was good, close to all ammenities(Restaurants, shopping, etc.) The house was spacious and a good layout for larger families.
Location was great, as we could walk right to the harbour.
The pet room was the best we have ever had!
