My first visit to Bern. The city center is so beautiful and cosy. I really enjoyed my stay. And I had the best chocolate cake ever at Bellevue Hotel. But Swizterland in general is great in cakes, nature, cleaniness und so weiter.

Beautiful city. Lots to do. Amazing transportation system (get a multi-day pass for the duration of your stay). You can easily travel to other beautiful villages and towns using the train system. Jungfrau is a must-do, but prepare to shell out $200+ per person (worth it). Lauterbrunnen is another must-do. However, skip the first fall and go directly to the second (Trümmelbach). Overall an exceedingly picturesque town with many fascinating historic sights, whether one enters them for more info or not. It was very clean and I found the numerous fountains spouting fresh water (as well as free public toilets ) to be highly civilized. Unfortunately most museums being closed for a religious holiday was a drag. Thank goodness the beautiful weather made just strolling around admiring historic architecture (& magnificent views from the bridges) plenty enjoyable. Public transit seemed to be very efficient for visitors (we didn't venture much outside historic center). We went to Bern specifically for Voodoo Rythm label & record shop and were NOT disappointed! Highly recommended for those about to rock!!

One of the most expensive city in Eu, but lovely and good you can do a whole city tour by walking in a day..the architecture was beautiful the view of the Rose Garden.. delicious food in the restaurants

I liked the old town, with cobblestone streets. I visited a lot of the typical tourist places like the clock and Bern’s Bears. I’d recommended taking a walk along the river and travelling to any high points to look over the town. The transport system is amazing and the hostel I stayed in gave me a transport code so I could use it freely. I woke up early so got to see a lot of the town before others but by about 11am it was rammed everywhere and some tourists could be quite rude.KloeUnited Kingdom
