Charming family run boutique hotel in the heart of Bettmeralp. Very welcoming and attentive owners and staff. Easy walk from the cableway. Excellent restaurant- but be sure to make reservations as it was completely full both nights we stayed.

An excellent hotel no less. For those interested in experiencing Swiss peace and quiet, this is exactly the place. The rooms are equipped and decorated to a high standard. The room we received faced an amazing mountain view with the ringing of bells hanging from the necks of cows in the background. Beyond that, it is very quiet. The main thing that can be noted is the level of service. We arrived at the hotel at 10:00 PM, when the reception closes at 6:00 PM. The hotel manager and receptionist Elizabeth, who can be written an entire review about, came especially from her home to welcom us. An amazing person who did everything and beyond to make us satisfied and to make our stay at the hotel an perfect experience. The hotel has an excellent restaurant for dinner that is nothing less than excellent. We sat outside facing the view of the mountains. We paid 81 CHF including wine. The service in the restaurant is also excellent and at a high level. Since we arrived at the beginning of the summer season, it was very quiet and peaceful. From what I understand, it is very busy in winter since there is a ski resort and the cable car is in front of the hotel.

Amazing place to stay for a total ski lodge experience plus more. Staff very friendly, all food was amazing (breakfast included; we decided to also purchase lunch and dinner from here and have zero regrets). Despite it being a short stay we felt at home and like it was 'our' place. Incredible views, great snow. We decided to spend a bit extra on the wellness centre (spa and sauna) and were so glad we did. Would love to return one day.

The village is only accessible via a cableway, cars have to...

The village is only accessible via a cableway, cars have to be left in a spacious parking lot and garage. In the garage, there are like 30 lots with a wallbox for EV charging but I assume they can be only used while charging. The village is a good starting point for a number of nice hikes and has all necessary facilities – a Coop supermarket, pharmacy and a number of restaurants. At the valley station we bought the "Entdeckerpass" for the entire stay and found it worth for the money – we could use for free all cableways in the region as well as the train in the valley.

We don't ski, and there might be better mountains for skiing...

We don't ski, and there might be better mountains for skiing, but this town was quintessential Swiss. Getting there was incredibly easy and Bettmeralp was absolutely darling. The views of the Alps are something we will never forget. Great mix of people, nice selection of restaurants, super winter walk over to Riederalp ... really enjoyed the town and our stay.

You can easily spend a few days, as this town offers hikin trails, and bike trails around the valleys. I was sorry to leave so quick. However, I visited top of the mountain to see the glacier, it is totally worth it and amazing.

Bettmeralp was a fun place to visit for skiing.

Bettmeralp was a fun place to visit for skiing. Exceptional scenery. Food was a good standard although a bit pricey, similar to everywhere else in Switzerland. There are two good supermarkets in Bettmeralp if you want to cook in your apartment. Good experiences with equipment hire and ski lessons. Some places only spoke German so you'll want some German ability or rely on translator apps (which is what we did).

Not sure what to expect Bettmeralp was a charming village, with plenty of now even in late March. The scenery was spectacular, the hiking and skiing areas excellent. The local restaurants produced delicious food and the staff were helpful and efficient. A great place for families, couples or singles. Well worth the trip!

Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp are a combined ski...

Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp are a combined ski resort: the Aletsch Arena. Mostly downhill skiing with mostly biginner (blue) to intermediate (red) pistes. Some short blacks. In Fiescheralp sector, theEggishorn cable car (great views of the Aletsch Glacier from the top) was open in dec 2021 but a landslide had damaged the black downhill piste. Good point of view of the Glacier behind the Bettmerhorn summit restaurant. Food is a real problem in the whole resort. If you don't self-cater, you might end up without any dinner because you didn't book a table in the morning or even the day before. And if you aren't the die-hard 2 times a day meat eater, and worse if you fancy being a vegetarian, you will have trouble finding food at all. If you ever find some vegetarian plates in some restaurants (rare and very dull), the experience will be made worse by the stink of hot stone grilled meat at the neighboring table. However if you like eating meat as if there was no tomorrow, this is the place.

Fantastic boutique hotel in Bettmeralp, full of charm, a nice spa (sauna, hammam, showers and a cold bucket to cool down). The room was fantastic, with every detail full of swiss authentic charm, a balcony looking on the mountains, wonderful for a morning tea. Breakfast was delicious. The entire wooden chalet charm was exactly what I love. The staff was extremely helpful.

The breakfast was nice. The staff replenish the supply frequently. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's just a few minutes away from the start of a hiking path and a beautiful lake, yet it's a bit away from the crowd.

Location is perfect on Main Street and you can ski to the hotel and to the lift. No walking Breakfast OK and Price good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is good for a couple of das of skiing .

The location was exceptional such beautiful views, the hotel was very claen and the food was excellent. We had a waiter who was great he fixed us his own special gin and tonic, he made the stay memorable.
