Everything: from the location to the cozy settings and Historical architecture, food was amazing - we focused on the “truite au bleu” which is their specialty, their chef is French and all the other dishes ( from sweets to homemade pate) were delicious. The owner, François, is an extremely sympathetic guy, goes around permanently to acknowledge every customer and spend time chatting with everyone without haste, making every guest feel special. A place to return for sure, stroll along the lake and enjoy the hiking opportunities.

The hotel is in a great location, especially if you're visiting nearby watch manufacturing companies. Besides the hotel's own restaurant, there are some bars, restaurants, pizzerias, and kebab shops within a short walking distance. A pharmacy and a Denner supermarket are right across the street, with larger supermarkets like Migros and Coop also nearby. The train station is close, and there's public parking available. The room and bathroom were spacious and spotless, having been recently renovated along with the elevator. The breakfast was decent.

I thought the rating of 7 is a bit harsh as I found the hotel to be quite adequate. Yes the property is old, but it is well maintained and clean. Adequate free parking and lovely view of the lake contributed to a pleasant stay. Did not take dinner or breakfast so can’t speak to the food service.

Great location, very good food, definitely value for money

Excellent location with a beautiful view! The room was lovely, with wonderful natural light and a refreshing, modern design. The bathroom was spacious, complete with a wonderful tub. Virginie and Jean-Charles were wonderful hosts — they kindly let us keep our car parked until late afternoon while we went for a bike ride around Lac de Joux. A little slice of paradise, just over an hour from Geneva!
