We had to stay here for one night because our flight back home got cancelled. We booked extremely last minute and when we showed up we were treated like family instantly! The facilities are beautiful and in fantastic condition. Waking up to the volcanos was beautiful. The beds were clean, no bugs, the staff was the best part. Orlando the owner is a class act and couldn’t have been a better host. When we come back to Costa Rica it is without a doubt we will be spending our whole trip there.

We enjoyed the pool, and the staff were very helpful in guiding my wife and I on how to take the bus to Liberia. The Pumas sanctuary next door was a fun thing to do in the afternoon, if you get lucky you may see the large male jaguar.

I LOVED everything about this place! Location was secluded, private and gorgeous and yet close enough to town, national parks and other attractions. You are surrounded by nature so beautiful sunrises and sunsets, butterflies are everywhere, hummingbirds come visit as well as many other beautiful birds. We got to feed and connect with the horses that wondered into the property, WOW! Our host Joe is truly one of a kind, he poured his heart into our experience, he took us to a nearby waterfall and lagoon where we swam all by ourselves! He filled his mud clay pond for us to use as many times as we wanted. Breakfast was delicious and was different each time! This place totally exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend Hacienda en Los volcanos, I know I'll be back!
