Hotel in Cheb
Our newly built hotel borders directly on Komorni Hurka nature preserve, one of the most attractive and frequently visited spots in the area. Good breakfast, but what was really outstanding was the restaurant itself. I highly recommend to taste their menu. The price is reasonable and definitely is worth the outcome. Spa & wellness areas were clean, nice and I have really enjoyed spending the time there. Starting from hothouses (with different herbs) to whirlpool and pool with massage jets. Hotel room (I had single room) was large enough to feel comfortable, same goes to bathroom.

The Hotel Barbarossa is situated in the historic centre of Cheb and is well known for its spaciousness and the excellent food served in the restaurant. The place is super clean, really nice and really central. Loved the beds and the big bath tub! I ended up there, when I was stranded in Cheb after my last connecting train was gone. The staff really helped me and my two dogs and made sure we had all we needed even at a very late hour. I really appreciate that.

Small town to walk around in while getting a feel for the Czech Republic. We stopped off there a night to break up the trip back home to Berlin. Wasn’t particularly impressed with the new town, but overall the architecture is stunning. It helps to speak German. We enjoyed climbing the church tower with our 5 year old.
It is in the middle of nowhere. Only stayed there because our train was stuck there overnight. To be fair, we were there from 11:30pm to 6am, so we did have much time to explore. People were friendly though, and did help us when we got lost.
Cheb is definitely a up and coming tourist area, right now it seems to be more ready for German tourists, but is a beautiful location. Great for walks and has that old town vibe. There is a castle and other history related things to do, but I onlyrics spent a night so I didn't indulge. The bars here are really cheap and give great quality beer, especially the ones across from the bus station. It was a ice hockey themed bar.
The city has a really nice center surrounded by historical buildings from all sides. There is also a mini street between two of them :) You can't miss it when you go to the center. The three lady-birds in front of the city hall are an attraction by itself, too. The other two places worth visiting are the church (it's towers are visible from the center) and the "castle". It's mostly ruins but still worth a walk and there is a nice park below it.
A cute little town. The central square is extremely beautiful with original German architecture well preserved. And there are no tourists. Just nice streets, old castle walls, fancy churches and mostly local people doing their business.
Surprisingly nice city! The main square is beautiful with some really nice buildings. However, when I arrived (Monday, about 8 pm), most places were closed and the one, that was open, was really expensive for what it was. It seems Cheb is prepared for tourists
