Max (and Albert 🐶) welcomed us and our dog and was so friendly and hospitable. He shared a lot of local culture and history with us, prepared a great breakfast, and made us feel right at home. We were sad to leave.

Very friendly people. We could park our bicycles safely in the locked bicycle shed behind the building. Very clean room and bathroom. Very nice guest kitchen with all you need for cooking a nice meal. It’s in walking distance of the historic center of Kalundborg.

The location of the hostel is very good for walking in to Kalundborg plus it is away from a busy road - so quiet in so far as road noise. The interior is very Danish - lots of wood and communal areas are stylish. Good areas to sit and read/work.

The view over the bay is excellent, the area is good for tracking and moutain bike, there are four 11 kW EV chargers. In connection to the hotel there is a really great restaurant called Næs.
