Very nice and spacious bungalows. The location is very well located close to the centre but away from the loud music at the beach. Gabi the manager gave us valuable tips for where we can eat and drink. In general she was a really good host! Would definitly recommend.

Although I have lived in the DR for 15 years, I had inexplicably never visited Las Terrenas, just a drive-thru once to pick up restaurant equipment for a friend. LT is just fantastic. Although the streets and restaurants are busy, the beaches are so wide open and spacious and provide a feeling of the way the DR used to be.

The natural beauty of the beach is the highlight, as well as the opportunity in winter months to travel about an hour across the peninsula to Samana, where the North Atlantic humpback whales spend the winter. I would not recommend staying in Las Terrenas proper (noisy and crowded), but the area west along Playa Bonita is nicely developed, and the beaches farther east toward Playa Carolina are also less congested and pleasant. Playa Coson was okay, but there aren't many options for eating, almost no activities other than hiking, swimming and surfing, and it's only accessible by motorized transport. I would not have chosen to stay on Playa Coson if I had done better homework.

It´s getting to crowded with construction. Still pretty. There´s nothing that you cannot find there. New businesses in front of the beach. Great to see people walking thru the boardwalk at all times. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

My favorite place from the DR.

My favorite place from the DR. Most beautiful beaches, very peaceful! The town is very lively, with many great options for dinner on all budgets. Love all the motorcycles, 4 wheelers and you can park on the beach with again many food and drink options. Amazing sun sets. Also night life is very active! Little shops, big grocery stores and well anything you need. Make sure to also visit El lion and spend one night close to the water falls. Rancho Romana is a super spot. I’m a solo trainer and felt welcomed everywhere.

The city is developing very nicely. The newly built restaurants along the main avenue are excellent. There is some room for improvement when it comes to waste management, but otherwise everything is really very nice.

The beaches are fantastic and the drives around the area are beautiful. We found the restaurant options limited, but maybe we just did not explore adequately. El Limón nice, but it is very muddy and very slippery. Make sure you have very good hiking shoes and are ready for a legitimate hike. People who took horses there looked miserable and did the horses. If you do it do not take a guided trip. I would just go on your own. The beaches are beautiful. Be careful driving onto the Semana Peninsula, we got hit by a speed trap and had to pay $80 on the spot or go to jail. It was a scam but really had no way to fight it.

Amazing and super helpful host. She spoke perfect English (and French and Spanish) and helped us with everything from restaurant recommendations to beach recommendations to other activities across the Samana peninsula. Beautiful and spacious rooms/huts. Fabulous breakfasts. Parking is on site (enclosed). It is just an 8 minute walk from the beach. Las Terranas is absolutely spectacular. Much worth visiting and staying here.

I went to many all inclusive hotels in Dominican republic and so far this is one of my favorite. It’s small and cozy enough to not feel in a mall but it’s intimate and private too. Not only the hotel is modern, stylish and comfortable but the entire staff will make your stay unique and unforgettable. The animation team is wonderful. I am already looking forward to coming back.
