EcuadorStaff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and the hotel is located right on the main highway. The internet worked consistently, and blackouts were late at night. Buses and taxis stop at the hotel when they are waved down. Quality restaurants are nearby.

Small safe feeling town, no ATM or general goods store but variety of restaurants was impressive for the size. Beach and water was quite useable for a red flag beach. Well located for a variety of tours and activities. Minor night life, but was generally quiet for sleeping all nights but Saturday.

Very small hippie vibes town - not much to do - nearby beach at las tunas has some events going on occasionally.
Few restaurants to chose from and cute little stores. No ATMs so need to get cash ahead of time.
Some restaurants accept card payments.

Ayampe is a quiet and extremely safe location.
Ayampe is a quiet and extremely safe location. It is next to the Colibri trail which is one of the best birdwatching locations in Ecuador. This small place has a range of excellent restaurants which are very reasonably priced. It has good surfing available and the beach is fantastic and very quiet.

Hotel was very nice and clean, less than 5 min walking to the beach, very close to everything. Daily cleaning was provided. I absolutely love my stay, the staff were very nice.
