Everything about the hotel was fabulous, super comfy and spotlessly clean with lovely staff who made us feel very welcome.The breakfast and coffee was excellent and the service was amazing from the waiter (sorry we didn’t get your name) who cheered us up each morning with his friendly smile. The location was ideal enabling us to explore both mountain and beach destinations. The setting was in a small and attractive rural hamlet with a lovely babbling brook running alongside. Scenic walks were available from the door. Parking spaces were plentiful. Thank you very much to all of you for making our stay perfect.

This is really nice hotel. Wonderful room with a view to the field with fruit trees. They have an outdoor terrace and possibilities to dry your clothes if you are walking the Camino. Ask for it in the reception. Everything were perfect.

very nice Hotel in a beautiful village. The hosts are very nice and friendly. We enjoyed to stay there very much. Secure place to park our motorbikes.

A most comfy , character hotel , beautiful furnishings , fantastic huge 2 person spa with excellent strong jets , just what we needed after a couple of weeks on the Norte Camino. Hostess very friendly , welcoming and helpful at check in. Highly recommend, one of my favourites accomodation places on the Camino

Lovely family run hotel with delicious breakfast

Of all our hotels visited along the green coast, the staff at Solymar were by far the friendliest and most helpful. A lovely traditional room and very good value for money.

Beautiful location, fabulous building and rooms, amazing food. Manuel and his colleagues couldn't do enough to help us, particularly with our very bad grasp of Spanish. We even witnessed Spain beating France to go through to the Euro Finals on Sunday (hopefully against us). We will be back!! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Fantastic location with bars, restaurants, beaches and the train station all within walking distance.

Amazing hotel, super clean, with a beautiful garden and delicious breakfest every morning. Cris is excellent host, very kind, friendly and supportiv organising things for me. Looking forward to come back.

Hotel is new and nice however the staff was a disappointment. In the middle of solving an issue with the receptionist, he left to check something and he never came back. Later he just said “sorry, not possible”. This is not how you’d expect hotel staff’s behavior. The hotel is new, but it doesn’t come with services. The neighborhood of the hotel is also kind of disturbing, constructions of big blocks around. Overall feeling - definitely not to be repeated.

I love this place. First came here in 1985 so this was a bit of memory jolter. Of course, it was camping only then, the hotel building just being a shell. The renovation has been very tastefully done. Fabous beaches within a walk away and then there's the Picos.

Great location in a great little town. A must visit if you’re travelling along the north coast.
