The cleanliness everywhere. The friendliness of the staff
The facilities in the spa, the jets that worked! the room size, huge bed with quality bedding. They left a welcoming bottle of bubbles and cake to celebrate my partner's birthday

I had concerns about the location so close to the road and the train station. However, the windows are able to keep the sound outside to a minimum.
The staff kept me up to date with information about the town via the app, so it was reassuring to know I could just send them a message. When I was leaving I was able to message to request to leave my luggage at the hotel for a few hours.

The location is unbeatable. Tucked away in the heart of Altea, the hotel is just steps from the town’s iconic cobblestone streets, charming boutiques, and the breathtaking Mediterranean coastline. It’s the perfect starting point for exploring all the magic this enchanting town has to offer.
A special mention must go to Angelica, who ensures every guest feels genuinely welcome. Her warmth, dedication, and impeccable attention to detail truly make Maison Salva feel like a home away from home. She is, without a doubt, the heart and soul of this incredible place.

Good connection with the owners, and I could reach out on WhatsApp anytime if I had any questions. I also forgot some small items in the room that they kept for me and is helping me getting it back. Super clean, and nice view.

Breakfast was good and included in the room rate. Dinner was buffet style and not good value for the 25 euros cost. Salad was quite basic and meat was tasteless. A disappointment as every other aspect of the hotel was really good. The room was spacious and clean and had a side view of the sea. Parking was free and on site.

The blue dome church on top of the hill is Altea is worth a visit and there is a lovely quaint street leading up to it. You have to park somewhere at the bottom of the hill and walk up and best visited in the evening when sunlight lights up the dome.
We ate at Rosa's Cafe by the seafront, which serves great salad and a generous G&T.

The old town is lovely with plenty of shops and restaurants, and a great view over Altea. There is a super ice cream place in the middle square, and the area does get busy at night. It is hilly and accessible by steps so people with mobility issues may struggle. The beach area and promenade is good with plenty of restaurants next to the beach. The beach is pebble so a chair or hire of a sun lounger is needed, and the gradient into the water is quite steep. We stayed for 3 days which we found enough to see and do everything.

Altea is in two parts.
Altea is in two parts. A nice long promenade with large selection of restaurants, really clean and everyone very welcoming. The upper old town is a bit of an uphill walk from the sea front but well worth it. Again lots of choice for dining and some nice boutique shops and fabulous views.

I love Altea, this is the 2nd time staying there and would go again, A week for us was a bit short as we drove down from south of France. The old town is beautiful, quite a climb up but for the faint hearted taxis are available. Lovely sea front and marina. lots of bars and restaurants really enjoyed the food at the greek resto. Peacefull area recommend for families, lots of water sports available and boat trips. Very nice market on a Tuesday. I would recommend visiting Moraira and calpe which are both nearby. Close to Benidorm number 10 but takes you there. We stayed in July temperatures 30°. not one mosquito bite I couldn't believe it. Lovely bar tapas in the old town in front of the church, The staff were so friendly.
