The property is located in the center of Montanchez. We liked the fact that it is very close to the castle and the main square. The room was big and nicely furnished. Even though it was very warm on the day we arrived (38C) the in-room AC is very good. Carlota was very friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of recommendations for things to see in town. One thing to note, the access roads to the property (and elsewhere within central Montachez) are very narrow, so if you are driving a bigger rental car (or don't feel too confident navigating narrow medieval alleyways), it might be better to try and park further out. We had a smaller rental car (Open Corsa) and we were able to find free parking within 150m from the property. There are a few places to eat close by (no more than 2-3 minutes away) within the main square. The castle is about 10 minutes away, up a steep slope.

The Posada Dos Orillas can be found inside the walls of Trujillo, just 400 metres from the Plaza Mayor. Set in a 16th-centruy building, it has a restaurant, patio and free Wi-Fi.

Very friendly reception. There was a bar/restaurant downstairs. Good and quite room. Safe place for our bicycles. We booked with breakfast and dinner which both were good.

Very clean and quite modern apartment right on the village main square. Free parking few meters away. Convenient location for visiting beautiful Trujillo, Caceres and Monfrague NP. Friendly lady that welcomed us and handed over the key. The double bed way good size, free crib was provided for our baby. Good heating and fully equipped kitchen. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in the area.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful when messaging and meeting us at the house. The house is located in a lovely quiet village with easy parking, supermarket and a bar for breakfast close by. It was spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly need is provided. We'd love to come back and stay again.
