The pool area was lovely. Breakfast was great value & plenty of gluten free options. Restaurant & bar prices were good. Staff went above & beyond, we were in the town & needed a taxi back but our lack of Spanish was making it difficult. We rang the hotel & they got one to us in a few minutes! Would definitely like to stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this converted Palace and we actually liked the location and surrounding cafes, bars and restaurants better than the Plaza Mayor! We ate at the restaurant twice and wish we had dined there every night as the food was good and imaginative, and the service was excellent.

Caceres is an incredible place seeped in so much history it...

Caceres is an incredible place seeped in so much history it is imposible to not love its tiny streets, cobbles and palacios on every corner. If you leave the main square (plaza mayor) there are some fantastic places to eat which offer not only fantastic food but also very original and charming decor. The waiting staff are all welcoming and attentive.

It;s like many of theancient towns perched on top of a moutaiin, Only better and more impressuve. Different parts built at different times. I don't recommend driving around the 14th century streets as directed by sat nav

The main Spain tourist website does not give you any inkling...

The main Spain tourist website does not give you any inkling that many, if not most, of the iconic landmarks are closed, or scaffolded, or obstructed right now. I had also hoped to see the stars, yet you get virtually no reliable information how and when to access guides, certainly not from hotels; and when I finally got through to an actual guide, he said it was cancelled, that spring is not the time to do it. Caceres is a charming place, but I’m really pissed off that I was lured there in the expectation that I could SEE Caceres at its best. I was told that if I wanted to SEE things that were open I could go to Merida or Trujillo, but I had just come from Merida; and public transport to and from Trujillo was infrequent, at least now (per Rome2Rio and Google).

Fascinating & unique medieval city worthy of its world-heritage status. Just beautiful, like living in a time-travel dream. Quaint, authentic, good restaurants and cafes, everyone friendly & welcoming. We loved our stay there & felt in touch with Old Spain. Muy bien!

Caceres is not overly touristed.

Caceres is not overly touristed. Most tourists seemed be Spanish, the old town walled town is accessible and compact. There are also extensive retail and restaurants in the newer parts of old town outside the walled city. We felt that 24hrs was sufficient to see Caceres but would enjoy this as a good central base to explore nearby areas. We stayed in early April and the temperatures were delightful.

Its a busy city with a lot going on and a good night life. i didnt explore much but it didnt seem so historical as other cities however the people are friendly and the prices are decent for Spanish ciites. I dont reccomend Goika, its expensive and the portions were small.

Really nice hotel with decent restaurant. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was a nice size and very comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and I had a good rest. The hotel is ideally located when traveling on the Autoroute or intending to visit Cáceres. Breakfast was a buffet with a good selection of different foods. There is also an underground garage (available at extra cost) which has a 2m 10cm height limit. Although I didn’t use it, (due to the time of year), the swimming pool area looked quite large and very nice.

Great position for seeing Cacares, only a few yards from Plaza Mayor and ancient walled city. Immaculate interesting building with loads of stairs and arches. Super breakfast and for later tapas was the best we have had in Spain so far. There is no parking at the hotel and on coming into Cacares there is extensive road works so check satnav carefully.

Right on the main square in Caceres - this could hardly be more central. A historic building, but with all mod-cons. A good breakfast too. It turned out WOMAD was on while we were there - the hotel did warn us of possible noise (there wasn't any in our room) and offered other options if we were worried. I thought this was very thoughtful.

a stopover - for the 3rd time - in this hotel. Location is great, just of the Ruta de la Plata with free parking. A disabled guest, adapted room is well thought out, really comfortable and easily accessible Remember you're in Spain so dont book dinner too early but the food is superb

The hotel is a modern complex located just outside the historical city centre of Cáceres. We did not use it because we stayed only one night, but it has a SPA which could be a plus. It also has a private garage that could be very useful if you are coming by car.
