Surrounded by the mountains of the Sierra de Grazalema, this 19th-century house is located in the village of Grazalema. It offers a charming patio. Beautiful property, well-maintained, lovely view from our room. Many paintings on the walls throughout. The pics do not do it justice!

Offering garden views, Plaza de los asomaderos 54 Grazalema is a property located in Grazalema, 20 miles from Plaza de Espana and 20 miles from Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor. The main parking lot is right in front of the building, and there is a viewing platform right there. The town's main square is behind the building. Under the guest rooms, there is the best restaurant of the town (and it is not expensive at all). The hostess was very friendly. Although she did not speak much English, we can communicate. And the apartment is very well decorated, and spacious.

There are some superb trails that can be access directly from the village. The mountains are stunning and there's a real variety of landscapes to explore. The village itself has everything you need.
The food was fantastic. A huge range of cuisine catering for all tastes. Really like the buffet style presentation with food options changing daily. The view, the location and the high standards of cleanliness and comfort make this a hotel worth recommending. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable and decorated in a traditional style. The bathrooms would benefit from modernisation but certainly didn’t spoil the stay.
The old white towns in the mountains are amazing, very friendly, clean and quite spectacular to see. Grazalema and Zahara were our favourites. Both towns have a stunning background of mountains and valleys and Zahara overlooks a beautiful lake. Everywhere we ate was superb. The local dishes of meats and cheeses were always excellent.
Grazalema is a 'must do' for many travelers. However, the main square and buildings can be visited in a couple of hours. The real charm of the old town is wandering up the narrow streets to the top end where there are few tourists and homes are traditionally Andalucian and perhaps taking time to enjoy a good meal and sample the local payoyo cheese. The town is a favorite with walkers and cyclists for the region around - especially to the west - is beautiful and there are lots of good walks through spectacular forest and mountain scenery. There is now also a very decent new swimming pool in town to counter the sometimes tiring summer heat. For visitors with a car, Grazalema could be a centre for not only walking, but discovering on day trips other smaller 'white villages' where facilities such as restaurants are less developed. Lastly, ornithologists find that Sierra de Grazalema is a brilliant spot for birding, especially in early summer.
Grazalema is a great spot to use as a base and explore the Natural Reserve and the surroundings. The tourist office in the Plaza de Asomaderos is really helpful with information about hikes in the whole park (it is just 2 minutes from the hotel). However, to fully take advantage of the variety of hiking routes, you really need a vehicle to get around to the trailheads. I came by bus so was quite limited to the hikes I could do. I would definitely return but this time with a car so I could explore other areas of the park. The hikes I took were wonderful although the trails were not consistently marked on the longer one (Puerto de las Presillas) but thankfully I was helped by a local who made sure I was on the right track. Also the variety of restaurants is a little limited and they all close for siesta so if you come back from a hike around 2 or 3 you'll be out of luck if want something to eat. And then in typical Spanish fashion, they don't open till 7pm or later so it's best to keep that in mind. The options for vegetarian eating are not that great but if you like pork, beef and friend fish you won't have a problem. (Even some of the "vegetable" dishes include pork/chorizo so it's best to ask). My advice is to check out the food options so you know what to expect and can plan accordingly. The little panaderia next to the Rumores cafeteria in the main square (Plaza de Espana) has some really great pound cakes, especially the chocolate and orange one - really moist and tasty. Wish I'd taken some with me!)
Fantastic village that has lots to offer a wide variety of travellers, try and avoid the coach parties. Good launching location for the national park and other villages and towns. Autumn was still very lively but suspect even more so in the summer period but really could find fault with it.
Grazalema
I was greeted by Pepi who welcomed me despite me not speaking any Spanish. The apartment is well situated (Grazalema is only a small place) and has amenities to allow you to self cater if you wish (hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine) as well as a washing machine. There was plenty of hot water. I enjoyed sitting on the sunny terrace which is accessed from one of the bedrooms.
When we had trouble with the heat in our room, the staff gave us a new room immediately. Breakfast was OK but the view from the breakfast room is wonderful. Best to have breakfast in the hotel as the town center is 10 minutes up the hill. Hotel location is good for driving, easy to drive to without having to go through the middle of town. Beautiful view of Grazalema from hotel room.
Grazalema
The place is beautiful, many trecking rutes start from the house so there is no need to take the car once you are there. The hotel itself is beautiful as well and the staff very nice. But if I have to highlight something that is the food: best I have ever tried in Andalucía. Don't hesitate to book your dinner before 3pm, you will not regret.
I liked that there was a bed and a bathroom. Also the view from our room was nice. And the staff who were running the dining room were amazing - juggling a huge room of guests with basically three staff members. Otherwise, it felt like a complete bait and switch from what Booking.com and the hotel company’s website had to offer.
Grazalema
This place was absolutely perfect. Locally owned and extremely cozy. They had a wood fireplace going all night and the location was perfect for walking to sights and restaurants. This was our favorite stay in all of Spain!
Grazalema
This is a beautiful property in one of the most magnificent areas of Spain. Grazalema Pueblo is one of the most beautiful white towns of all. Perfect for romance, relaxation and hiking.
Grazalema
Beautiful view right outside the door, Grazalema is a very small village and it doesn’t take long to get from one place to another. The shower was nice, wifi was ok
