Comfortable beds, great food, friendly service (Gracias David) at a reasonable price; well located near Las Médulas. It’s a little off the Camino Invierno but close enough that pilgrims should consider it as an option if they want to visit Las Galerías de Las Medulas and get the best view of this outstanding historical place at the Mirador de Orellán. But a word of warning - best not to tale the Alternative Route suggested by the Wise Pilgrim App from Borrenes, the path is overgrown and uneven from flooding and needs needs maintenance. Better to follow the Camino Real and then take the Senda Perimetral (dirt road) on the LHS of the paved road as you are nearing the town Las Médulas. A much easier route.

A nice small hotel in a beautiful decorated rural house at the very entrance to Acebo. Cosy organized and decorated terrace and garden for drinks and meals. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable. Susane and David, the young owners and hosts, are very kind and caring and try to fulfill all the guests' wishes. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful. Recommended for every pilgrim. It is worth stopping and spending the night in Acebo in La rosa del Agua.

A good location for a stress-free stay in El Acebo de San Miguel, La Trucha del Arco Iris is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the mountain.
