Service, cleanliness, facilities and food were all top quality. 20 minutes walk to Pals centre made for a good location, close to local eateries. Grounds were gorgeous: gardens were a lush haven and the pool was refreshing with clean and stylish changing rooms. Bedrooms were spotless and nicely furnished. Our room had a window into the bathroom which did give a stylish feel and made everything feel more light and airy - there was one sliding door which gave the shower and toilet a degree of privacy but didn't cover it totally. It didn't bother us a huge amount but culturally I can imagine lots of Brits might prefer there to be a further door to preserve modesty! This was just in our suite though: other rooms have fully closed bathrooms I believe. Also perhaps a cultural thing: the beds have sheets only and I do prefer a duvet generally. Luckily a wool blanket was provided so I used that when I got chilly in the night. The bed was extremely comfortable, generally speaking. We loved the four poster aspect with the white linen curtains. Breakfast was just perfect with fresh and local produce, and pretty much anything you could ask for was available. All served in a beautiful and chic garden room, light pouring in. This was a highlight for me. Overall, extremely good value for money.

It was a perfect family beach holiday resort with plenty of restaurants and fun things to do. The beach area is surrounded by leafy gardens, lots of trees. golf course of course and it is clean and well maintained. There are no high rise blocks. The beach and its approach are clean and well maintained.

Pals is beautiful, it looks like a movie set.

Pals is beautiful, it looks like a movie set. So clean and quaint. While the historic city of Pals is quite small, we stayed in a beautiful villa with a private pool which lent itself to some wonderful relaxation time. I could have stayed a month just to unwind. Additionally, there were several things to do within close proximity (day trip snorkeling, wine tasting, e-bike rental through the countryside), so you could easily be busy if that's your goal.

I went primarily to play Golf & there are excellent courses available for Golfers of all levels which I really appreciated but there are plenty of options for folk just wanting a Seaside break, plenty of facilties, local markets, good shopping & excellent food widely available.

The old city is very beautiful, we walked around the streets and climbed the belltower. It is very empty in January. Many restaurants and shops are closed. The nearby area is fantastic for walking and birdwatching.

A nice place to base yourself and good roads to places of interest. The Costa Brava has good walking on its coast. For cycle riders, there are no shortages of challenging bike rides although the traffic can cause some wariness for nervous road cycilsts

The building is not new, but it's well-maintained and exceptionally clean. Room furniture, doors and decorations are veneered wood and stone: not cheap, very durable. It wins by a large margin against many newer hotels on this coast that have chipboard furniture already falling apart. Kitchenette is well-equipped. Balcony is huge. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is big and free. Grocery store in the same building works until late evening.

I made a mistake of booking the hotel at a wrong date so I have to book a room last minute for my first day of travel. We booked a room in Hostal Barris and cannot thank the team enough for making this booking happen. They arranged the keys to be collected even we arrived in the hostal late. The room was clean, spacious and in good location, very close to the Pals old town. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Pals.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed.. It is very close to a quiet beautiful beach and places to eat. The host Marta was very nice and helpful. Lovely restaurant Palsito nearby. Also there a rotisserie where you can get lovely takeaway food at Village Golf Beach.
