Lovely comfortable accommodation and the owners have thought of every little detail.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this property.
Super clean and very well equipped. Having read the reviews the owners obviously listen to their customers because all suggestions have been met.
Yes it is hilly but so are so many little towns in Spain, that's part of the charm.

Great location in the old town with a stunning roof terrace with views of the town and the sea. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the only note is there is no parking nearby and we had to street park away from the apartment and there are very steep steps up to the apartment, this was fine for us but anyone with a disability would find it tricky.
Fully kitted kitchen, excellent wifi, complete bathroom and beautifully decorated, the host was friendly and on the end of the phone if we needed anything. Would highly recommend.

Salobreña is a very small town.
Salobreña is a very small town. As such, there is not a lot to see or do. The beaches are excellent, and the old town merits a visit. However, a 24 hour visit here was probably enough unless you wish to spend several days on the beach.

Solobrena in March was very peaceful and quiet and that's what we loved about it. The apartment is perfectly located in the centre between bus station, old town, and beach, each about 10-15 mins walk. The castle is well worth a visit and the beach very relaxing. The apartment is only a 2-4 minutes walk from two supermarkets and a street away from the local market which sells delicious take-away food. We stayed three nights and in the middle of a trip took the bus to Almunecar for the day to go to the castle and museum in the old town there. All very recommended! It was a great trip.

Salobreña looks interesting from a-far because it is on a cliff and it has castle. But in reality it is not an interesting town. The castle is just simple old walls, nothing to see. The town's church is rather dull. The streets don't have flowers. No cobblestone streets. the houses are just a mess, nothing with interesting facades or fronts.
The only good thing is that 1 km away is the beach, which is nice but lacked enough trees to provide necessary shade.

We visited Salobreña as the first half of a two-part stay in the region, with the second being in Granada. While we were waiting for the bus to Granada I saw people arriving in Salobreña for the first time and I was quite envious.
Hostal San Juan is one of the nicest and most comfortable hotels I have stayed at in Spain. A beautifully restored house in traditional Andalusian style with lots of tiles and plants. The friendly owners made me feel welcome and were happy to answer any questions and offer information on local restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay there again.
