Located in Sepúlveda’s main square, Hotel-Hospedería de los Templarios is ideally located for exploring this national monument by foot. The location was superb, in a village where most of the buildings are at least 200 yrs old. the hotel had loads of character, but the facilities were modern. My wife and I were amazed

Offering free Wi-Fi and a 12th century facade, Posada de San Millán has lovely gardens with views of Sepulveda. The impressive Hoces del Rio Duratón National Park is a 10-minute walk away. This place is just lovely. A short ride back to the center of town. The only reason we did not walk is my health/mobility issues. I cannot do inclines well. Ronnie greeted us warmly and was very helpful. Parking is available and convenient. We almost skipped breakfast as we were leaving early, but decided to delay bit and were not disappointed. The tomato puree that they served was sooooo good on top of our bread, meat and cheese. We will be making that at home!

Perched on the top of a mountain, a typical Spanish town. Many restaurants with very good to excellent Castilian food. A great base to visit the Hoches de Duraton National Park where eagles, vultures and other birds abound over and in a deep gorge. The National Parks Visitor Centre has a brilliant display and very worth visiting. The weekend we visited was Fiesta time which was great noisy fun. Not too far to drive to the city of Segovia which has an amazing aqueduct, a wonderful castle and lovely cathedral.
Very welcoming people though very little English spoken except for Millan at the Posada. Ancient town and main square with an excellent atmosphere. Enquires reveal that very few British tourists visit and I have to say they should. As a visitor to numerous towns and cities throughout Spain I can say that Sepulveda is amongst the best. This was a stopover and I did not have time to do the usual tourist things but fully intend to return to do so. A walk around the town and dinner in Plaza Mayor was a delight. Loved it!
A lovely little Spanish town. Very quiet and typical. For those who enjoy wandering along narrow medieval streets and observe curious ancient buildings. Very good Segovia food, but the prices are like in Madrid (in winter too).
Nice city with several specialized restaurants in the typical roast lamb of the area. This city can be used as base to visit another near cities, Maderuelo, Ayllón, Pedraza, etc. Also it has a lots of nature paths (with different difficulty) for trekking.
Our stay was in December. The hotel, staff, room, breakfast etc fine. A lovely old town but most restaurants were closed, including the one adjoining the hotel. Difficult to get a decent meal anywhere and had to settle for bar snacks in town which were very expensive.
The setting. The views, the Hostal and owner. Perfectly decent breakfast as it was included in the stay. There are plenty of bars and restaurants offering varied menus at varied prices. The people were friendly. Downside, quite steep in places.

To make it simple, we liked it all. My wife and l like the country side, what made this place perfect for us. Posada Millán is such a nice historic house conveniently located in the charming town of Sepúlveda. At the Posada we literally felt at home not only because of the place itself, but also because of all the friendly staff. Not far from the town we visited a very nice place called Ermita de San Frutos. Amazing place for hiking and taking pictures !!
