The Family Rooms with Pool View at the Hotel Coral Cotillo Beach provide a spacious 29m2 setting for a comfortable stay.

Great stay, perfect for a quiet week away in January. Breakfast was lovely, good buffet. Very clean, beds so comfy...great night sleeps. Didnt use the pool as was very windy and not warm enough for me when we were there but its a fab area. Close to everything you would need. Shop, laundrette, fab bakery just around the corner with great coffee. We really enjoyed our week there

Located in Cotillo, 3.7 mi from Los Charcos Beach, Casa Nami provides accommodations with free WiFi and access to a garden with a terrace.

I had a spacious apartment fully furnished and equipped with useful tools for cooking and cleaning. After a week of travelling the washing machine was a much welcomed surprise. Though the location is about two km from El Cotillo where all the beaches, shops and restaurants are, this only added to the feeling of quiet and relaxation. The couple running the property was very friendly and helpful with useful information about what to do and where to eat.

Boasting a terrace, Casa Vega offers accommodations in Cotillo with free WiFi and mountain views. The holiday home is 0.6 mi from Playa de Castillo Beach and 3.1 mi from Los Charcos Beach.

We really liked Casa Vega for its location and views with no houses behind but still walking distance to everything. Being with a 4 year old the accommodation was really practical and had everything we needed, with good value for money too, great parking just in front too and very clean on arrival, will definitely recommend to friends!

Beaches, weather and food was amazing.

Beaches, weather and food was amazing. If you go to the beach be prepared for lots of naked people. I wouldn’t take kids there, very concerning. The locals of El Cotillo know you’re a tourist and they have no problem making you very aware of this fact (long stares, tutting, grumpy and rude attitude) - not all of them of course, but the majority. The vibe of the place is really weird and off, never quite been anywhere like it, made to feel unwelcome and I have travelled the world extensively. The Argentinian restaurant is by far the best if not only place worth going for food (actually seem somewhat friendly and welcoming of tourists) there are no activities unless you go to the marina in the next town over - that town is a lot more friendly and good things to do / busy streets etc. Good for a short break but no longer than 4 days max!!!!

Smaller than most resorts, maintaining an element of it's old fishing past. This was great compared to our first week in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote which was much bigger, busier and more touristy. However, it can be quiet and this will not suit everybody. There is quite a lot of development to the north outside of the main town, with some large apartment complexes. I fear that it will become too big for the limited facilities in town.

Cotillo is a beautiful relaxing place.

Cotillo is a beautiful relaxing place. It has a charming old town full of character. Beautiful beaches, all within walking distance but if you have a car, you can park pretty much anywhere without having to pay! Places to eat I would recommend are, Olivo Curso, Bar Central, El Tostan, La Marisma, The Blue Cow and Ajueva. Cheapest supermarket is the Superdino on the outskirts of the village and also there is a Chinese shop that sells pretty much everything. Fab Chinese takeaway/restaurant in town and a bakery that sells amazing goods.

El Cottillo is a fairly quiet place to holiday. There are a number of good restaurants in the village. The beaches to the south of the village are good for surfers and the beaches to the north are good for naturists.

I like the vibe in Cotillo and the northern part of the island in general, far more than the southern section. While its not like you're going to get a "local" experience there as everywhere is full of tourists, the type of tourists in the north seem more laid back whereas the south seems to have more of a resort feeling with more parties and such. You can certainly still party in the north but from what I saw it was more specific to certain times and locations. I personally have absolutely zero interest in staying on the south of the Island after driving through it. I would 1000% rent a car, especially from CICAR as they have a discount agreement with the ferry line "Naviera Armas" which allows you to go between islands. We ate mostly in Corralejo to have more options but still had some good meals in Cotillo. If you're looking to learn to surf I would recommend Xtra Surf School. They are located 1.7KM from Cotillo (in El Roque) and have great instructors with low instructors to participant ratio.
