We stayed in the Alsatian town of Hellimer as it was close to a family event. This is not a fancy hotel but the Floride has a lovely small-town charm. The owner, Lydia, was so gracious to us from the moment we walked in and throughout our stay. She really made our visit special and kindly kept refilling our morning coffee (joking that we Americans drink a lot of coffee which, in our case at least, is true!). Lydia also gave us some ideas of local places to visit, such as the American WWII cemetery nearby. We hadn't known about that and we're so glad that we visited it. The hotel has a small, lively bar (we could hear a bit of bar noise but it stopped early so no worries there). No elevators so carrying luggage upstairs is necessary. There is easy parking in the lot behind the hotel. A most enjoyable stay and we'd definitely return.
