The manager was VERY sweet and helpful! He arranged a taxi to town for a lovely dinner at Au Chapeau Rouge (highly recommend!). Petit dejeuner was delicious.

We really enjoyed Chinon – even in the evenings.

We really enjoyed Chinon – even in the evenings. We loved eating at Georgia and received excellent service. The hidden gem, the Eglise Notre-Dame de Riviere, is a true jewel, an absolute insider tip.

Chinon is very beautiful.

Chinon is very beautiful. The fortress is highly recommended. The nearby castles are also very beautiful. We also traveled partly by bicycle. The cycle paths outside the towns are well integrated, but in the towns (Chinon, Tours) they are disastrous (the streets are far too narrow, parked cars blocking both sides, no sidewalk, cyclists are out of luck).

Excellent, with friendly and helpful hosts, and a location central to the Loire Valley châteaux: Ussé, Azay, Villandry, and others, plus easily accessible heritage sites. A greenway for cycling enthusiasts and the tranquility of the park with the option of on-site dining and regional dishes.

Catherine gave us a super warm welcome, complete with homemade cakes. A wonderful, warm, and welcoming host, you feel like part of the family. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I highly recommend it. Ideally located for cycling trips.

We had such a wonderful warm welcome from Marielle and her communication was fantastic even before we arrived. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the rooms and bathrooms, to the delicious breakfast. It was great that Marielle allowed us to use the dining table to feed our children at in the evening rather than already needing to take them out to a restaurant. I would thoroughly recommend Rêves et Rivières to families. It was great to be able to visit the town of Chinon nearby which was a beautiful place to walk around with the kids.
