A typical English town with a shop, few pubs and take aways on the main street. We went there to grab something to eat. We had a tasty meal at The Crown Pub. There is also a Co-op opened until 10 pm which is very helpful when you want to buy a Truly Irresistible salt and vinegar crisps :)
Since we didn't have a car, taxis were necessary for most trips. We were able to walk to a restaurant for dinners and ate lunches out. The scenery was beautiful and it was close to David Austin's Rose garden, nursery and Tearoom. That was a must see for us. Also, we visited the RAF museum in the next town and participated in flying birds of prey in or near Hagley.
It is semi rural but the facilities are brilliant, with a couple of pubs, a couple of Indian restaurants, good taxi services, a newsagents and very friendly local people, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I couldn't ask for more.
