This is an adorable little cottage with modern furnishings. Gemma left coffee and milk and a pound cake - a thoughtful touch. We did stop at a Tesco for dinner and breakfast items. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. The cottage has some nice views as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with Shona during our delicious breakfasts! Ali was so friendly and helpful with our travel plans. A delightful couple. We were relieved to have the guest house literally across the (narrow) street from the ferry exit, allowing us not to have to drive our rental car at night!

Our room had a view to the sea. Food was lovely. Particularly enjoyed their porridge options at breakfast which were delicious. We also enjoyed the share platter one night and then the amazing three couse dinner the next night. Overall a delightful experience, room, meals, and hospitality were fantastic, thank you Sue and Tom. Would come back in a heartbeat.

My host, Rosemary, was exceptionally thoughtful and gracious. When I arrived, I discovered a welcome platter of fruits, cheeses, charcuterie, and freshly baked bread. She checked-in with me periodically during my stay to see if I needed anything. The property was an immaculate one-bedroom house on the seashore. The arched ceilings and windows from floor to ceiling illuminated the white interior beautifully. It was a very bright and cheery place to spend several days. Rosemary has a no shoes in the house policy—same as I do back home—which kept the white floors sparkling clean. I cooked most days and the kitchen was outfitted with all the necessary appliances, cutlery, cookware, and serving dishes. The location was a 5-minute drive from Stornoway center and it was a beautiful 20-30 minute walk along the shore into town.

What a wonderful escape on the island! The kitchen was well appointed, the directions for the appliances and heating were easy to find and follow, the rooms were cute and comfortable. And even better, our host was an absolute star! Richard was incredibly helpful and patient even when I made the rookie move of thinking that I could wait to book the ferry until 24 hours before we wanted to cross.

Small property, newly renovated I think. Very comfortable beds. Thoughtful touches ...fresh flowers. Very clean. Beautiful island. Locals are friendly and interesting to talk to. Honesty boxes everywhere. Castle and museum was fascinating. Black House village and Harris tweed Beautiful! Some quirky coffee places.

Lovely spacious cottage- close to Stornoway but outside the centre to give that island experience. The cottage had a really well equipped kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee and some Scottish shortbread and oatcakes Perfect for our needs including being able to take the dog
