Birchington
Set in Birchington in the Kent region, Flat One has a patio. The accommodations is 31 mi from Dover, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. Lovely location for the beach (lots of beaches actually - Botany Bay was a favourite); Birchington High St is a very short drive away for the Co-op and Sainsburys Local plus lots of takeaways and a couple of places to eat. We enjoyed the Minnis Bar and Restaurant too, an easy walk from the flat. You can hire bikes from next door to the bar too if you fancy doing the brilliant Viking coastal trail. The deceptively large (from the photos on here) flat has everything you need for a short or long stay, including a washing machine and dishwasher in the fully stocked kitchen, lots of DVDs and some games (and there’s even a little library Kiosk across the road if you find yourself book-less!). Lovely fluffy towels and nice big, powerful shower. Never had a problem parking on the road outside the flat, but there is allocated parking to the rear too. Best of all was the unexpected value-add of the basic food stuffs we were left, which made arrival that much more welcoming.
The best thing about hotel was hearing the door closed behind us could not wait to leave in fact we left at seven in the morning to go to a Toby car very for breakfast. Worst place in my 63 years of life
Good location comfortable and clean liked the fact there was an individual front door for each room too Very pleasant staff you go into the cafe/bar area in reception for food and drink we only had snacks there outer breakfast was average but edible
We only ate out once in Birchington and that was at the smugglers slightly on the expensive but very nice , other places to try are The swan pub and West bay Cafe on the front at West Gate On Sea . Margate is great if you have children and you want more atmosphere with entertainment. Another lovely place to try is Minnis bay it has a lovely beach with a few cafes and a bar. All these beaches are only a short drive from Birchington,
A quiet gem! Delicious fish and chips from The Bay Fish Bar which we enjoyed while watching the sunset on Minnis Bay followed by a beverage (or two) from the Old Bay Alehouse Micropub. Our stay was short but sweet.
Loved the quietness of the neighbourhood and the neighbours. The space between the caravans was wonderful for the small children. my grandchildren played racing up and down much of the time when we weren’t on the. Beach. THe parking next to our caravan was very convenient , great for loading and unloading especially small sleepy people and tired older people ready for supper and bed. Can’t think of anything more jut thank you for our lovely comfy temporary home for those few days in half term.spring bank holiday 2021.
Ideally situated for exploring this area of Kent ,it is a nice little town with all the services you would expect including bus ,train, shops ,restaurants ,pubs etc .Nice walks along the coast .we ate at the Brassier located at the sea front ,also had a drink at the wine bar (in the town) .We enjoyed our time at Birchington although the weather was not very good .

Really enjoyed our family break and will be booking up again soon .

Comfortable and clean mobile home, no cigarette or animal smells. Set your expectations right and will not be disappointed (i.e. it is a mobile home, not a 5* spa hotel) neighbourhood was quiet after 10PM - fairly rare at such caravan parks. small swimming pool at holday park (had to book and pay for 1h slots ..) plenty of nice places to visit within 30min car drive.
