Located in Crediton in the Devon region, North Hollacombe Farm features a patio and garden views. I was provided with a beautiful room, with an extremely comfy bed, tea making facilities, tv and en suite. There are stunning views of the countryside from the room and space to enjoy the garden and fresh air. Angela is a wonderful and friendly host, I instantly felt welcome. Breakfast was delicious (especially the way she prepared the eggs!). Highly recommended!
Check the Sat Nav as any larger Vehicles could struggle to get to The Lambs Inn. Nice Church the bell rings every hour which is nice to hear. Limited parking would struggle on a weekend. Nice quiet area.
Nice little town with lots of history and amenities, we didn't have time to fully explore as we had activities booked in the area during the days. Several pubs & restaurants to choose from. I would avoid Exeter at busy times as the traffic is a nightmare. be prepared for narrow single track lanes if you want to go onto Dartmoor There are busses and trains to various places if you don't want to drive
The location is quiet - just what we wanted. We dined al-fresco in the garden as the evening was pleasant. We enjoyed listening to the sound of nature and the many birds as they started to roost in the tall trees surrounding the gardens. Access was via country lanes mainly. Dining experience was great with varied menu, and reasonable prices. Very relaxing experience.
Lots of thatched roof cottages and old England imagery. Beautiful autumnal colours - refreshing country walks and friendly locals. Highly recommended. We stayed and ate at the wonderful New Inn experiencing breakfast, lunch and dinner on different days. All meals were exceptional. Don’t miss this. Gem of a place
Crediton itself and the surrounding area is pleasant only the weather was bad.Of course the moors are magnificent. Our hotel stay did not resemble the views of others.A manageress was mentioned ,we only met a charmless man who showed little interest.
Not stayed there before, but interesting high street, with a good mixture of pubs and eateries. Crediton is a good midway point for either Devon coasts, so you are perfectly placed to enjoy both. Exeter is also very close, so a beautiful, historic city full of things to see and enjoy.

On arrival, greeted with a warm welcome by the owners and the locals, the local cider on tap is a must try, I had a feeling when I booked it would be a special place and I wasn’t disappointed, can’t share enough how much we all enjoyed our short stay and must say the family bedroom would put many a 5star hotel to shame, breakfast was yummy and sadly that was it for us this time as had to shoot off, however we will be returning ASAP!!
This is a lovely place to stay, more like a hotel than an inn. Very friendly welcome. It was a particularly wet night so maybe it was quieter outside? Very comfortable room with lots of puffy pillow and extra cushions, always welcome. Very clean and good storage space. Lovely shower room. The view outside looked very rural. I only stayed one night so didn't get to see the other areas.

I normally stay in hotels but fancied a change, this really did make my day! The cottage is tiny but in a good way, very cosy. The stairwell is very steep and the steps are a little shallow, something to be aware of if you have limited mobility. Apart from that, fantastic! I will definitely be booking this cottage again in the future.

I believe that I was given a room upgrade. My room was situated in an extension to the hotel and was excellent. One of the most comfortable beds I slept in on my whole tour from Lands End to John O'Groats, and an excellent breakfast to set me up for a long day's cycling.
The Ship Hotel is a rough diamond and is just what I needed after a long drive down to Devon. My room was clean and tidy with a really nice en suite shower room. Friendly staff and a central location with plenty of local parking.
