With unique views of the South Somerset countryside, in a peaceful lakeside, river and garden location, Haselbury Mill has beautiful historical buildings and superb food. The hotel is lovely, our room was excellent. The staff is kind and was really helpful with everything.
Located in Crewkerne and with Golden Cap reachable within 17 miles, The Crooked Swan provides a restaurant, allergy-free rooms, free WiFi and a bar. the honeymoon suite with the copper tub is exceptional. I enjoyed every moment in the hotel. The antiques are so perfectly curated. The partner/wife of the owner owns an antique shop and her taste is *chefs kiss Honestly, they should be winning design awards. just lovely.
Boasting a bar and restaurant, The George Hotel is located in the heart of the market town of Crewkerne. Free WiFi is provided in this 400-year-old hotel. Becky and Simon were extremely helpful and great hosts. Drinks and dinner were great. A fab place to stay surrounded by amazing countryside and a bustling town. The locals at the bar were colorful and there were some nice dogs in the pub. When we're in the area we will stay again.
Located in Crewkerne in the Somerset region, Romantic Rural Retreats features a patio and garden views. Great little hut with modern facilities. Hot tub is an excellent addition to sit out of an evening and get a beautiful view of the stars. Local to a couple of cute little village pubs.
Cosy Flat in a Pretty Town. In Crewkerne has accommodations with free WiFi, 20 miles from Golden Cap, 31 miles from Weymouth Harbour and 15 miles from Sherborne Old Castle. Lovely location. Pretty property that had everything and more. Fabulous cleanliness. And kind hospitality 😊
The place didn't really match the website. Its really needs upgrading. Coming up to the front we passed it thinking it was an empty run down pub . Chalets are OK. Mis matched bedding but clean. Noisy workers next door for the last 2 nights. Didn't see any other families there .got the feeling just used for contractors and workmen .such a shame the place could be made beautiful if effort put into it
nothing to like it was a dump surprised anyone would take it on there books. they should pay you to stay there. booking was for a director had to be in that area only that available (wonder why) he slept in his clothes it stunk of urine got there late not able to book anywhere else. it looked ok on photos on site for a quick overnight stop as long as it was clean & acceptable. it was not a hotel it was a so called BB. shame on booking.com to even entertain it on there books. they should refund money. beware stay well clear.
A market town that is easy to get around. Lots of characteristic buildings with a fabulous old church which is well worth a visit. Crewkerne is situated in South East Somerset, close to West Dorset and East Devon. There are several brilliant places to visit such as Montacute House (NT) and Forde Abbey as well as a 40 minute drive to beautiful Lyme Regis. The towns roads can get a bit busy as it sits on the A30. Street parking is generally limited to 2 hours, but there are a few public car parks and these offer generous fees at just £2.15 per day. Look out for the numerous blue plaques on buildings that tell stories and the history associated with the place.
The George is a fine place to locate: a pleasant town and fairly easy to get to several nearby seaside destinations. Staff extremely courteous and helpful, creating a pleasant atmosphere in charming surroundings.
Crewkerne is a lovely little Somerset town and, whilst not much going on there at the moment as just coming out of lockdown, it's a great location from which to explore Somerset, Dorset and South Devon. We stayed in the Crooked Swan which was a lovely quirky pub/hotel and the food was absolutely superb and excellent value for money.
Quaint, small market type town with good amenities with very good road links. Plenty of off street parking at very good rates. The George Hotel is a listed building located in the central market square area, surrounded by local shops and eateries..
Really nice, individual pub/hotel in the centre of Crewkerne. Huge quirkily designed bedroom and huge bathroom, good Dinner and great breakfast. Friendly service . Ideal for a stop off the A303 or as a touring base. Don't let the lack of a private car park put you off.
Beautiful house with open plan downstairs. Upstairs, the bedrooms en suite were very nice. Excellent showers! Proximity to Crewkerne centre is a definite bonus. The host thought of everything and had done an impressive risk assessment relevant to covid-19 safety.
Spotlessly clean well presented room in a charming historic hotel. Comfy bed, excellent shower and plenty of hot water. Great breakfast served by friendly and helpful staff. Council owned parking was very close (free overnight).
Main Hotel was closed, the room in the quadrangle was clean and comfortable. Because the main building was closed, there was no food available, cafe up the road was closed, bereavement in Family. Bought food in town.
A gorgeous hotel in an idyllic place with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Very comfortable, amazing food and very helpful friendly staff. Would definitely visit again.
