The property is a good 20 minute walk from the station so a car is needed. Staff out my teddy on the bed and it was really cute to come home to. Shower was good.

Staff could have given an introduction about hotel when checking in for example were breakfast would be. We had room 47 which was perfectly quiet. Beds were super comfy. Great breakfast less than £10 in taxi from city center.

Location very convenient for driving, local bus services, trains to Edinburgh, and airport.
So much historical interest. The abbey, Andrew Carnegie birthplace experience, fabulous Pittendreich Park - originally surrounging the local landowner's house from he and his family were banned on the one day townspeople could visit it for being too radical .He bought it in 1902 and gave it to the people of Dunfermline. The resident peacocks have just been given the freedom of the city .
Easy access to Culdross, the most perfect post medieavel burgh Scotland, the Fife Coastal Path, and Edinburgh.

Mary Queen of Scots' historic town offers a lot for a visitor to see: an impressive Norman abbey, atmospheric palace ruins, a saint's cave, and the birthpalce of Andrew Carnegie. The first Carnegie library has a really good local museum above it, featuring its linen-making past and the construction of the Forth bridges. It has a congenial high street (on a hill), and good bus services if you want to explore the surroundings.

Not a big city , nice places to eat, fantastic big country park , near to city centre, absolutely wonderful, donated by Andrew Carnegie. Easy rail or bus travel to major cities, fairly reasonable prices, but don’t use ScotRail app, get paper tickets.you can travel on the buses all day for £ 11.50 pp. by purchasing a east of Scotland day rider ticket, good value. Plenty of decent shops and supermarkets close to hotel, lovely big church and abbey ruins close by.

A gem of a city, and a secret that now the people of Edinburgh are cottoning onto. It's got a beautiful Heritage Quarter with loads of trendy bars, cafes and restaurants. Fantastic old buildings, a huge amount of history and one of the most beautiful parks in the world - Pittencrieff Park - is glorious. It really is like a mini-Edinburgh without the fuss and crowds, and such a lovely place to hang out.

Have been to dunfermline many times for breaks, and have found there are loads of things to do,plenty of choices for eating out town centre and high street shops available and central to other places ,edinburgh, burnt island, leven etc if planning to travel.
Very clean, quiet and comfortable with very friendly, helpful staff, and an excellent location in a quiet, easily accessible part of Dunfermline. My heart sank when I arrived because there was a wedding in progress, but the room was the other side of the hotel and I didn't hear a thing. I would strongly recommend Garvock House and plan to go back with my partner who was unable to come because of sickness.
The location was perfect, close to both the Town centre and my in-laws house in nearby Halbeath. Very central for all amenities but the Hotel itself was nice and quiet, set in spacious grounds, with ample parking to the front and rear. The restaurant served good meals, and with two bars running concurrently there was no problems getting a drink!
Hotel was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. If we were coming back, as pensioners with bus passes we would come back on the bus, as the Glasgow to St Andrews luxury bus stops right at the hotel. There are frequent buses into dunfermline too. Communication and facilities were good too. We didn't eat here so can't comment on that.
Appartment has perfect location in calm street, its very quiet even though it is close to the city centre offers lot of privacy. This location allows you to use public transport (bus station and train station in short distance). Also good for shopping. And few minuts walk to beautiful Dunfermline abbey. Its for affordable price.
