This hotel is ideally located within 2 minutes of the M25, at the Dartford Crossing, and a 2-minute drive from Lakeside Shopping Center. Bluewater Shopping Center is 6.5 miles away. Perfect location, clean, comfortable, excellent staff, great breakfast will stay again
The Stifford Hall Hotel Thurrock is a 18th century manor house set in 6 acres of beautiful gardens. Stifford Hall Hotel Thurrock has modern, bedrooms offering air conditioning. The hotel has is own well cared for grounds, The staff are excellent as is the food.
This beautifully converted farmhouse is set in landscaped gardens and is close to Dartford, Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centers. It has lovely countryside views and plenty of amenities. Not bad for the price ...just need a little face lift on bathroom and all windows
Nothing can be done about the location but the soft furnishings should be free of stains or replaced. Heating needs to be on throughout the hotel. Basic checks on rooms should be made prior to occupation. The restaurant in very basic, not the sort of place I would want to stay for a drink. These are not problems that cannot be addressed. Its a shame such a grand building has these fixable problems.
North Stifford is a gorgeous English village with a pub, a village green, a hotel and a post office. The houses are all different including some thatched cottages. There are speed bumps and traffic calming measures in place. It's really easy access to the M25 and close to the huge Lakeside Shopping Centre and out of town retailers. There's go carting and the Circus Tavern nearby. There are lots of good cafes, restaurants and pubs. The trains and buses are comprehensive and reliable so getting around is easy. Davy Downs is a lovely place to walk.
Close to Lakeside shopping centre and to Tilbury Cruise Terminal if you have to come to stay the day before boarding a cruise ship. Must go to Mumford's fish and chip shop for the best fish and chips for miles around.
Ibis have clearly done a brilliant job downstairs with their renovations, unfortunately they haven't carried that on upstairs to the rooms, they are a little date, still impeccably clean and comfy but just need updating
This was missing from my review Upon arriving, the place was more suited to building type workmen. It was very scruffy inside. We got our keys and went to the room which to our surprise was an accessible room. We didn’t order that and didn’t want it. I proceeded to go to reception and buy the lift there were two men rolling spliffs. And seemed very drunk or stoned. Reception changed the room but it wasn’t much better. My wife was extremely upset by it all and didn’t feel comfortable in this place. I told reception that we couldn’t stay and why but did not offer any apologies or even anything to do with a refund. I do expect a refund
Only visited Civic Halls during stay to attend Darts competition. We ate at various venues in the area. We had dinner in the bar on Friday night but the food served wasn’t great in fact we complained about one meal which was inedible. The cost was refunded for that meal.
The hotel has is own well cared for grounds, The staff are excellent as is the food.
Quiet, comfortable and well equipped
