Malvern is a very quaint Town with the most amazing back drop of the Malvern Hills. Ideal place to base ones self, in order to explore the surrounding areas. If keen walkers, there is no where better to visit.
Ideal for walkers or those that like to potter about in small locally owned shops. Views along the top of the Malvern Hills are beautiful so long as the weather is good. Ledbury, Worcester or Evesham and Upton on Severn are all fairly close for the more adventurous.
Great place to go for a getaway from it all. Bit stilted with all the covid regs, but totally necessary. The scenary is stunning wth views of and off the Malverns absolutely amazing. There are plenty of things to do and see with Eataries a plenty, and cozy pubs. The 3 counties showground has all kind of things going on, subject to regs.
Quaint town but very hilly. Not good if you have bad knees. We ate at ASK which was OK but very overpriced for what it was and at the Mulberry Tree restaurant part of the Mount Pleasant hotel. Food here was excellent, service was good and attentive - even with Covid - and cost us less for a quality meal than we paid at ASK the night before. Definite recommend. If we came back we would stay at the Mount Pleasant. Sadly because of Covid Malvern lacked atmosphere. The shops were all dark and appeared closed, even when they were open. The Priory was only open on the Saturday when were were there (and otherwise engaged) so we missed out on seeing that. Malvern has a good range of eateries and cafes, but again with the Curfew, lacked atmosphere. Disappointing to be on holiday and in bed by 10pm because even the hotel (which was only open to non residents) had last orders at 9.30. Will probably come back in better times.
Beautiful scenery, breathtaking views. Lovely walks. Malvern Hills Hotel is in the perfectly location for you to enjoy both walks over the hills and also a potter around the local stores, lovely little independent retailers.
We booked restaurants in advance. Interesting town but some attractions eg museum, priory church, theatre, some antique shops were restricted or closed. The adjacent hills and views of the vale were marvellous. Fellow travellers and walkers were friendly. The place has a nice feel.
