On 2 acres of landscaped grounds, this Georgian country house hotel offers bright, airy rooms in a peaceful setting. Fresh local produce is served in the hotel restaurant. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. Our only complaint was that the room was rather warm and the quilt a bit heavy for our comfort. However, I'm sure it would have been very good in winter! The food was excellent. We brought our disabled friend for lunch and it was very easy. We would do that again.

Holt is a pleasant small town with an excellent variety of independent shops and businesses including mainstream services as well as a number of eateries in the form of tearooms, cafes and gastro pubs and hotel restaurants/bars. There are also a number of gift shops, antique dealers and vintage/retro style businesses dotted around the centre of the community. The general atmosphere is warm and welcoming and there is adequate parking facilities at reasonable rates. Overall, Holt is an attractive and interesting place to visit with plenty going on between the hours of 10am and 5pm . There is not a great deal on offer during the evening period unless you enjoy relaxing in 'The Kings Head' or 'The Feathers' on the High Street. In essence quiet, quaint and a little quirky!
A very convenient base for local attractions like The King's Head pub - excllent local beers and ciders. There's alsoa steam railway and retro station, wild flowercentre, walks and resorts and much else.
Lovely place to explore, lots of shops for retail therapy, fab places to eat and still near enough to the sea to go for a paddle! Stayed and ate at the Kings Head and had breakfast at Byfords, highly recommend both places.

The accommodation was great. Huge room (from the front to the back of the building), huge bed with lovely bedding, a separate weel-equipped kitchen with room to sit and eat, and huge bathroom. There was also a great bow window on the High Street. The food and the service in the bar and restaurant were great. The staff over at Byfords, where you check in and out, and have breakfast were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for Holt and for visiting the area.

Lovely Hotel / Pub just a few minutes walk from the centre of Holt and with ample parking. The staff were very welcoming, the room was spacious and well equiped with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was traditional but with plenty of choice. We ate in the hotel one evening and enjoyed a well cooked meal. Holt is a convenient base for the North Norfolk coast with its great walks etc. We would definitely stay at the Lawns again.

Lovely friendly host. Made us very welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. Property is immaculate. Room lovely, excellent facilities. Perfect location to explore North Norfolk. We started at Cromer and worked our way across to Blakeney on first day, then Burnham across to Hunstanton second day.
Great location for the market town of Holt literally seconds away on foot, hot tub great addition, and perfect location on the map for visiting Cromer, Sheringham, Blakeney etc only 10 min drive away. Great pub restaurants within walking distance would recommend Kings Head and The Feathers.

There was a large shared area with comfortable seating ,a well stocked bookcase for browsing and a pleasant patio with table and chairs suitable for use on those balmy summer days. The location was secluded and restful with a truly rustic feel. Our host was welcoming, friendly and readily available/ on hand, as and when required. The accommodation was well appointed and maintained throughout and with keys to both upper bedroom and ground floor room, the place was very safe and secure.
