Tunstall is lovely, it's quiet and peaceful but close to local amenities and supermarkets. We were by the beach but in the countryside too. We didn't go into Hull because we prefer country/sea to cities.
A great place to explore in the daytime! History everywhere, friendly fun informative people, everything within walking distance. Free interesting museums loved the the art and installations the puffins were great to find! If your used to late night shopping forget it everything shuts at 5.30 on the dot although you will find a Tesco’s everywhere for those emergency snacks and if you visit for a weekend be careful where you stay the nightlife is long and they party hard in Hull earplugs recommended if you don’t party anymore!!!
Hull is a very busy place. Excellent place to have as a base to go further outside to visit other parts of East Yorkshire. I put my bus pass to good use and travelled all over. I found the 121 bus took me to all the places I had planned to visit. Most places were only an hour away so once there I had plenty of time to explore. The suite I was in was very close to the bus station and the town centre so purchasing food was easy as I was self catering. I had only 6 days in Hull but because everything is so close together, the old town and new it easy to find your way around. I very much liked the puffin trail. Follow the puffins trail. The information desk by the bus station and rail station is very useful and the people there are really eager to help.
There is lots to see, even though some of the museums are currently being refurbished. As the weather was good we spent most of our time outdoors, enjoying the sights, especially in the old town and by the waterfront. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and extremely enthusiastic about their city. For example it is well worth talking to the volunteers at both Hull and Beverley Minsters as they will give you information you are unlikely to find in guide books. If you arrive by train make sure to pick up the very useful leaflets on everything from walking trails to where to eat from the stall in the entrance.
We liked the old town a lot and the Fruit Market and Marina there are lots of good restaurants. We were there for a Jazz concert at Hull Truck Theatre which was within easy walking distance from the hotel. Great venue ! The people of Hull were so friendly and helpful.
A lot to see and do in a very compact area so minimum walking for any great distance. Lots of good eating and drinking establishments. A variety of indoor markets some very good, some poor, depends on your age group and tastes. Old town and museum quarter excellent. Hull highly recommended for a short City break.
It was surprisingly good. Better than expected as I travel a lot and am used to all the chains and many boutiques. WiFi was great, the aircon worked properly (a massive problem for a great many British hotels), the room was comfortable and it was sufficiently quiet to get a good night's sleep. I ate at the restaurant in the evening, something I don't normally do at hotels), and this was excellent. Very nice food at very reasonable price, with knowledgeable waiting staff who were very professional throughout.
Lovely apartment, nicely decorated with everything you may need for a visit to Hull. The hosts were very comunicative, answering very quickly to a few questions we had. Very close to secure, cheap overnight parking too. Don't hesitate to book. With respect to Hull we loved the old town and the marina. Lots of friendly pubs and restaurants there and some amazing old buildings if you're into architecture like myself. Overall we had a great weekend break and no doubt we will be back.
A great location in the city centre with excellent parking facilities close to the hotel and all amenities. COVID restrictions and level of cleanliness are excellently observed. The hotel have done their best to provide an acceptable breakfast alternative, which is well received by keyworkers who otherwise would struggle to find something available at a convenient time.
Location great, local shop round the corner for breakkie bits and pieces and good selection of wines, cheese and crackers for the evening. 50 yards further to the street of bars and restaurants and overlooking the Marina so ideally located away from the main City centre - ideal for our stay. Views from the Penthouse of the sea and the Deep. great sunset !
Friendly staff ,very accommodating. Easy access to Hull centre . Plenty of places to eat near by.family and friends all had a great weekend was made to feel welcome, no food available at hotel due to covid but not an issue as you can bring food back. There is a Bar would come back and definitely recommend
The room was very clean and tidy and bed very comfortable. The location was fairly close to centre of Hull and the breakfast was first class as were the evening meals. The staff of this family run hotel were very pleasant and could not do enough for us for the duration of our stay.
Is a motel style hotel quite close to the centre of Hull . This part of Beverley Road is decidedly a run-down part of the city, although it is close to a park area. The one staff I met was very welcoming and the room was first class with respect to cleanliness.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. The location is close to town centre. The property requires sprucing up. It doesn’t have a parking or a place to drop off guests. Could be an issue for less able people.
Very handy for the football/rugby stadium and a fairly easy walk of around 20 mins into the city centre, with plenty of buses into the town if you don't want to walk. Private, secure car park at the back of the house.
1. Great staff with good customer service. Ultra helpful, informative & accommodating 2. Very convenient location to Hull centre & restaurants/pubs 3. Marina view rooms are excellent
Good location for access into centre of Hull. Didn’t have food in the Hotel but the bar and other staff were very friendly. Very comfy bed
It is in an ideal location for both the City centre and the Hull Bonus Arena which we were visiting 😀
Absolutely perfect. Best hotel we have stayed in the hull area. Amazing value for money
the hotel is a stone throw away from the station, the shopping centres and the marina.
The staff were all absolutely brilliant. We had to call out an emergency ambulance to our 17months old son at 02:30. The entire staff were so caring towards us when we eventually returned back. They couldn’t do more for us. Especially Jessie, she brought us food to our room and Let us take our time checking out. It was such a relief to be looked after at such a difficult time. Thank you all!
Good breakfast. Food hot and not dried out as in some hotels. Best thing about the hotel was the staff. Friendly, helpful and very supportive of my husband who has dementia. Would definitely book here again.
Excellent location with walking distance to town centre. HH spotlessly clean with high range facilities. Fabulous bed! No problem with bells ringing as quiet in bedroom. Definitely be back!
very friendly staff great location if visiting bonus arena (like us) and the best fish and chips in Hull! I'll definitely stay here again when I'm next in the city.
easy to access at anytime of the day.
