GermanyWe had an unplanned stop in Newport and came across this place in the booking.com app. They luckily had a family room available and are open 24/7 so we could check in when we arrived well after midnight.
We were greated by very friendly staff and thst continued during our stay. At breakfast and at the front desk when we checked out (nice: check out possible until 11).
The hotel was quite recently built and everything in the room was great (good shampoo and soap) We slept so well and recovered from and exhausting day perfectly.
The breakfast buffet was phantastic. Fry up, croissant, cereal, fresh fruits. And the choice of coffees including in decaf. All presented by very helpful and friendly staff.
There was a lot we didn’t even take advantage of: The bar downstairs looked well stocked. There was a beach bar outside. There was a swimming pool and spa available. And a kids‘ playroom.
I would like to go there and wouldn‘t look for anything else.

I wish your nighttime staff had more awareness of the...
I wish your nighttime staff had more awareness of the vulnerability of their lone female guests, It was clearly missing on my visit. I am 77 and travelling alone. I would have hoped staff would have looked out for my safety - on this occasion I felt they did not. I doubt you will do anything to help the issue but it would be nice if you did, Next time I might find a proper hotel with stafff that care,

The Days Inn was warm and comfortable, great for access to south Wales, Bristol and the southern counties of England, we like going over the Severn bridges. We ate at Wagamama in Cardiff and the Grupo Lounge, Westbury on Trym, Bristol with family and friends, just great. We arrived late on the first night and went to the Coldra Beefeater at the next junction into Wales, we won't be visiting there again, not very friendly, food less than average, nothing to write home about!

There on business and the hotel was more than adequate for staying over for a night but not sure what Magor has to offer.
The Hotel was great but for some reason they didn't do an evening meal but did breakfast, that's not clear when you book and the local restaurant they recommend is really not worth the visit.

It was a great location for Caldicot castle where I went to...
It was a great location for Caldicot castle where I went to watch a concert. It’s just off the motorway and easy to get too. Also as it’s in a srvice station it’s got good shops and facilities around it including a costa a McDonald’s and a WH Smith all open late and early.

Room was ok although we booked a double and they gave us a disabled facility room - which was on the fourth floor as far away from a lift as possible! The fourth floor also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Changed us to a double room on a different floor but wouldn't move our daughter as they couldn't change from a twin room, which is strange since they changed us from a double to a disabled double, without us requesting, and back to a double.
Staff were lovely but the breakfast was not very nice at all. Didn't bother with it the second morning.
The hotel did the job but not an excellent stay.

Ask for a room at back of hotel, due to 24 hour McDonald's people stand around outside talking all night and can hear in rooms. Room, beds, facilities and staff all good just shame about lack of sleep due to people!

Fantastic hotel with great comfortable rooms – large walk in shower was a real bonus for the price. Staff were always super friendly, helpful and the service was 10/10. It was very quiet on an evening, so perfect for both early starts and a good nights sleep. The restaurant has a good selection of dishes and the food was amazing – highly recommend the Grilled Cajun cod.
