Not only was this barn outstanding in its presentation and comfort it was also in what one can say as a fabulous location with stunningly beautiful walks. The owners of the property couldn’t have been more welcoming. It’s is a fabuloisus place for visiting the local area with its abundance of attractions.
The Duke at Clifton in Banbury provides accommodations with a garden and a bar. The accommodations offers meeting and banquet facilities and free WiFi throughout the property. This little historic inn is a gem. The quiet, almost rural location appealed to us, and it made a great central home base for day trips to Oxford, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Bath and Stonehenge. The owners were friendly and the building full of old world charm. Just a note that the pub only serves dinner on some nights, but other good dining options can be found in the nearby town of Deddington.
Wonderful location in a peaceful setting with beautiful grounds. All the staff were absolutely fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The room (superior double in a cottage) was very clean and comfortable. The amenities were simple as it usually caters for corporate training, however it had everything we needed for our leisure stay and the lovely staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable during our stay. Decent breakfast. Evening snack and drinks on the first night were very good. We would definitely stay again.
The hotel was lovely and its setting was perfect in the country side , the breakfast was very good plenty choices and the staff were friendly and helpful there was nothing i could fault about our stay there.
It was a lovely peaceful location but we didn’t enjoy our 1 night stay mainly because the bed was too small for 2 people (it was a large single) and the bathroom wasn’t entirely clean. The carpet in our room was also damaged in some areas. The breakfast was good apart from the scrambled eggs being too milky.
Location and property were excellent Cleanliness and overall maintenance were slightly lacking although it is an old property Breakfast was well cooked and presented although a little limited choice wise Staff that were on duty were very friendly...although we had to wait around for a considerable time until we could find someone to book us in
The hotel was easy to find using tom tom and is in a great historical location surrounded by lakes and parkland. The rooms we stayed in were basic but very clean and with good facilities. We ate in the bar and the food and wine selection was very good. I would definately stay again if in that area.
The grounds are stunning beautiful well maintained lawns and the house looks impressive This could be an amazing place Since our stay I have read it's more of a conference hotel which would explain a bit about the rooms etc Over all was pleased with our stay and would go back again
Danish were either over cooked or old and dry. The orange juice was watered down.
