Staff recognized that taking luggage upstairs would be difficult for us (in our 70’s) and offered to change our room to a ground floor one. No one else on our month-long trip did that. Restaurant was very nice and provided great meals.

The unit we stayed in was built in 1660 and has a thatched roof. I was very interested in this and the hosts were very friendly and willing to tell me about the thatch. I learned a lot.

The apartment was beyond my expectations in every aspect. Excellent communication from the host in collecting keys. The apartment was very clean and tidy and was very well appointed. There is nothing I could fault. I loved the shower in the bathroom. The lounge area was certainly bigger than expected which was great. I would certainly stay here again and I think the apartment is suitable for both business travelers and people wanting to spend a holiday in Dorset. There are plenty of car parks nearby the property so I had no issue parking. The fact that they were free from 6pm to 8pm was certainly a bonus. The one I used was Durngate Street car park which is actually visible from the lounge and bedroom windows of the apartment. The parking spaces are narrow in Durngate Street car park but everyone that parked there did park nicely so I had no issues getting in and out the car.

Louisa is an amazing host that makes you feel so welcome. The room was huge and had a small outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy a drink. Her local knowledge was very helpful and it felt as though you were staying with a friend. The breakfast was great and there was a huge choice. I can see why this property gets such a high rating
