Nice gift shops . Nice walks. A nice theatre. House of braur 10 miles away good sale on good prices nice cashmire and lambswool jumpers.plenty of buses if you need to use. Very nice my downfall was there was no parking at mckays hotel .They also charge when the car park is up and running i dont like paying to park my car.
The staff in Information Centre were very friendly and informative. The Heather Gem Factory behind Information office is worth a visit. The Bookshop on the Station Platform run by volunteers is great. Also the walk to Faskally Boat Station was beautiful with the autumn colours and wildlife. Also a little cafe which can be accessed from main street or car park is very welcoming. Just a footnote !!! Greggs the Bakers was opposite Fisher's Hotel and proved to be very usefull!!!
Pitlochry is a beautiful Scottish village. A few nice pubs and lots of little quaint shops. I would use it as a base to move around as there is not much to do once you have enjoyed what it has to offer. The Old Mill Pub and Hotel I would definitely recommend. However our booked accommodation at Scotland's Spa Hotel was awful. We were extremely disappointed. The pool and spa area was closed even though we telephoned the night before to check it was opened before we booked which we were told it was. Reception staff were not that helpful nor was the duty manager when we asked to speak with her about the cleanliness of our room and the spa. I would not stay there again.
You must stay at Croft na Coille .This is the most beautiful b&b just a couple of minutes from the town centre. Our hosts , Eunice and Gordon were very special. The decor ,designed by Eunice was stunning . We enjoyed the lovely extra attention to detail, a wee dram of Scotch in our room with homemade shortbreads. This was our fourth visit to Pitlochry, very easy to get around to the theatre, fish dam and visitor centre and walks. Eat at the Old Mill ,or the Golf club in its beautiful setting. Unfortunately the Highland games was cancelled for a second year, but we will be back to this stunning part of Perthshire.
Loved location and bed 1big let down was the evening meal the menu was not suitable with the choices we would not eat in the restaurant at night again there was4of us and we struggled with anything to eat that suited us what a let down the same menu as the night before
Great accommodation in a beautiful setting. Plenty of restaurants to choose from with varied menus and food was excellent. Had an interesting trip to the visitor centre and the Dam. Beautiful area and we were lucky to have such good weather. Stayed at McKays hotel, nice comfy rooms and Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Hotel is very well located just a few minutes walk into the town of Pitlochry. Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Our room 5 was spacious, situated at the back of the hotel which was quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Breakfast was self service and the hot food was always hot!! Also good selection of cereals, juices etc. Nice lounge to relax in too.
Pitlochry
Great b n b. Had good sized room with view to valley. Nice big en suite bathroom. Stayed for 2 nights and had a good rest. The room and b n b were spotlessly clean and parking was on site and free. The hosts, Phil and Lynn were both lovely and had great eating out and walking tips. Breakfast both mornings was superb. One of the best I have had in either a b n b or hotel. Highly recommended without hesitation.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are happy, helpful and not intrusive. The food is Amazing!! Breakfast was unbeatable, Eggs Florentine was best ever tasted and we’ve eaten in 5 star establishments, try the French toast with Crispy bacon... Delicious. Can’t fault this place, rooms so comfortable and decor lovely, so clean.
Staff we encountered were friendly, the location is excellent - so central in Pitlochry but not on a busy road. The pool was clean and warm and our little boy loved splashing around! the restaurant was closed apart from for breakfast but we were offered a 20% discount at a sister hotel just up the road.
Set in a quiet leafy location within walking distance to the town of Pitlochry. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast was excellent, our whole stay was faultless. I would highly recommend a stay at the Knockendarroch Hotel.

Pitlochry
THE COOKED BREAKFAST WHICH WE HAD EVERY DAY OF OUR STAY WAS EXCELLENT, BREAKFAST SERVICE RATING WAS 5 STAR. THE GUEST HOUSE IS JUST MINUTES AWAY FOR MANY OF PITLOCHRYS ATTRACTIONS AND AMENITIES.
It’s tired. It looks like it was a great hotel in the 80s and has kept doing the same thing. I’m sure it’s very popular with the older generation, coach tours, SAGA-louts etc.

We loved having our own little reprieve from staying in b&b’s and allowing us more room. The location is superb as a base and facilities had everything we needed. Friendly and helpful host too. We loved the ducks who came to say hello and the scenery is breathtaking!
