Pitlochry is a lovely town. We normally stay there at Milton of Fonab Caravan Park or Killiecrankie, and love the town. For visitors, Monday nights are great as there’s an amazing show on the playing fields with pipe bands, dancers and singers and it’s indoors if it’s wet. Lots of independent shops too.
We were nice and central to many places we wanted to visit, including Blair Castle and Blair Athol Distillery. The Cairngorms were very close by and also a visit to Balmoral which was only 90 minutes away. We visited the Indian Restuarant which was OK. Our favourite for ambience, cleanliness, friendly service and excellent food was the Old Mill where we ate 2 out of the three nights we stayed. I believe it is family run, and runs smoothly like clockwork. It is not possible to book a table, its run on a first come first served basis, but as soon as a table becomes vacant the staff do a super quick turn around ready for it to be used again, so if you have to wait for a table, you never have to wait that long. A visit to the Green Park Hotel is a must, where you can have complimentary coffee or tea, and take in the splendid views of the loch as you are almost on top of it (literally!) The Queens view is another trip you have to make, where you can see the very same lock from a high vantage point and a different angle Pitlochry is a wonderful quaint little town and perfect for a weekend getaway and perfect for days out or a stop over on route further North
Pitlochry is a lovely Scottish town just south of the Highlands and easily accessible by car or public transport from Glasgow and Edinburgh. It has excellent accommodation and restaurants with a top quality theatre in a beautiful riverside setting. My wife and I have been visiting for over 30 years and love it. Adult children likewise.
All around things were very dated. Wall to rooms super thin could hear people talking two rooms away. At night was the worst experience I have had ever in a hotel. Someone stomping up and down the hall way ever half hour, on noisy floor boards, then the door would slam for there room. Then that person was having a load mobile conversation not a good night sleep atall
Pitlochry is a lovely place to stay. Lots to do and see with local shops and small businesses. Well kept communal areas and varied and numerous restaurants, takeaways, coffee and cake shops. We ate at Victoria's restaurant which was lovely, we ate there last year and were not disappointed. Fish and chips from McKays eaten in the beer garden was good and great value for money. Pitlochry is easy to get around with lovely walks and a visit to the Theatre and Pitlochry Dam would be recommended.
Getting to Pitlochry either by train or car or bus is easy, our hotel was in the middle of town..Pitlochry is a very pleasant town to stay or day visit with plenty of shops and tearooms etc..the salmon ladder and dam is worth a visit and the adjoining tearoom gives you the history of the dam..The Heather gem factory and the distillery are a must
Pitlochry
Yet again the staff at Carra Beag have been amazing !. The last time I came to Scotland with 2 friends we were let down by another hotel. The Carra Beag not only helped us out, but rearranged a bed room so it would contain 3 single beds. This time they have extended our stay due to my car breaking down. The staff here are fantastic. I cannot praise this place enough. Whenever I come to stay in Pitlochry, this is the place to stay for me.
Pitlochry
This was a beautiful cottage and garden area, plenty of outside space which we enjoyed due to having lovely sunny weather. It is a hike up from the Main Street in Pitlochry but most properties are due to the hilly nature of the town. The Pitlochry hydro hotel is not far from the cottage and another couple of hotels close by. It was a lovely quiet location with amazing views from the bedroom windows
Pitlochry
Lovely quiet location, away from hustle and bustle with ample free parking definitely a bonus. Only a short walk down into the centre of Pitlochry. Main hotel was lovely, well looked after and decorated. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a buffet style which we felt would have been nicer if breakfast was fresh cooked to order. Food in the evening was very nice with a good choice available.
Pitlochry
We stayed here for one night as part of our staycation around Scotland. The location is ideal in Pitlochry and the hotel has an amazing vibe overall. Room was spacious and clean. We were taken care of as soon as we arrived with from checking in right up until we went to bed. Had some drinks outside before dinner before heading into the dining room for a fantastic meal. We will definitely be back.
Pitlochry

They prepared fabulous breakfasts and a variety of drinks were available each evening. Would definitely stay again if lucky enough to be in Pitlochry. Thank you for a perfect stay!

Less than 10 minutes away from Pitlochry, the hotel is in an ideal location for getting on and off the main road. The rooms are cheap and cheerful; clean, plug sockets next to the beds for charging phones, a kettle with tea and coffee in the room and Scottish Fine Soaps in the shower. Very comfy mattress!
Pitlochry
Pitlochry is such a great little town! I wish we could have spent more time there! And the host at Atholl Guest House was so friendly! I don’t recall the last time I was shown to my room. If you’re visiting, or traveling through this quaint town, I would highly recommend Atholl Giest Gouse!

The Well House was very nice. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Location is fantastic for exploring Pitlochry. John was a great host and helped us celebrate our honeymoon in a very kind and thoughtful way. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.
Pitlochry
This was the best B&B on our week-long tour of Scotland! The room was gorgeous - comfortable bed, plenty of room, lots of electric sockets, great bathroom. Wonderful view of the gardens and Pitlochry, and so quiet, yet only a 2-minute walk down to the main street. Great breakfast too.
Pitlochry
A beautiful home impeccably appointed. Our room was peaceful and so comfortable. From the moment Kerry greeted us we get her warmth and hospitality. the breakfast was lovely and served in a room with a stunning view. An easy walk takes you to Pitlochry and all it has to offer.
