Rose Barn is located in Stoke by Nayland and offers a garden, a tennis court and barbecue facilities. The property has garden views and is 23 mi from Clacton-on-Sea. It was a countryside gem, the pool and the tennis court were fabulous. The barn is really well equipped. My family and I hosted friends and there was everything we needed for a great bbq . We can’t wait to go back soon. Claire and nigle the hosts are fab people
Boasting wonderful views across the Stour and Box river valleys, this privately owned inn is set on a hill in the picturesque village of Stoke-by-Nayland, on the Essex and Suffolk border. Breakfast was a completely different experience to other hotels I have stayed at. Everything was bought out fresh, rather than leaving a lot of stuff out for people to help themselves - which you could argue not only creates waste, but potentially lays it open for some of the items to be reused the next day. Food (at breakfast and dinner) was clearly prepared by someone who knew what they were doing, injected true passion and love into it, and gave it a lot of thought in terms of proving something nutritionally balanced also instead of a plate of stodge
Situated on 300 acres of countryside on the edge of the Dedham Vale and just off route A134, this hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Colchester and Ipswich. Very comfort stay and super nice reception personal. breakfast was superb! and location was also super nice. we had a wunderfull stay!
Located in the heart of Constable Country, Poplars Farmhouse B&B is set among fields and trees, and is less than a 12-minute walk from Stoke-by-Nayland. A beautiful period house, 20 minutes walk outside Stoke by Nayland, in pristine quiet (except for some tawny owl calls). Our room ("Boat room") was large, 4 pillar bed, perfect shower, all exceptionally clean. Breakfast: I'm not lying, one of the best we ever had, everything made to order. Lot's of walking possibilities. Host David Kerr provides good maps.
