Swansea Log Cabin is a detached chalet located in Pontardawe, in the Swansea Valley, 11 mi from Swansea Beach and Marina. The property is 24 mi from Brecon and features views of the mountain. The location was fantastic for touring South Wales. The accommodation and facilities were truly excellent. The hosts were also excellent.
Located in Pontardawe in the Glamorgan region, Graig Cottage has a patio and garden views. Very comfortable doggy friendly cottage, homely yet modern facilities. Great bed linen, comfy beds and well appointed bathrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed. Handy parking. Very helpful non intrusive host. Great location to visit our family locally.
1 Tan Yr Eglwys is located in Pontardawe and offers a garden, barbecue facilities and a terrace. What a wonderful, home from home experience. Our host, Helen, came to give us the keys despite the fact it was past 10pm when we arrived, and she was on hand to provide advice on the local area and help out with any questions we had. The house is spacious and comfy, with all the facilities you'd have at home. It's very easy to get to the local shops, pubs and supermarkets, and Swansea & the Mumbles are where to go for stunning beaches and lovely restaurants. We definitely intend to return.
Located in Pontardawe in the Glamorgan region, Nant Cottage features a patio and river views. It was so perfectly laid out. On the outside it looked quite small but it was Tardis like on the inside with space in abundance. The detail of the finish of this renovation is perfect making it feel beautifully comfortable even in the appalling weather whilst we were there.
Located 8.7 mi from Swansea and 24 mi from Brecon, Forest Cottage offers accommodations in Pontardawe. The property is 19 mi from Bridgend and features views of the mountain. We had a super stay. The Cottage was very cosy and clean. The bed was clean and comfortable and the log burner is super. There is a nice seating area outside surrounded by trees and beautiful plants, very relaxing. Its located up a very steep road and then down a fairly steep path, but well worth the extra exercise. We would definitely come back here again and also are looking forward to staying in one of Peters other cottages. Peter was extremely helpful right from the point of booking and replied within seconds when finalising our booking.
Our trip was in January and the weather was cold and wet. However we enjoyed a wonderful night at the Arts Centre. Amy Wadge and Luke Jackson were excellent and the atmosphere in the hall and the acoustics were exceptional. Next day we enjoyed a walk along the canal before the weather deteriorated. Also visited Aberddulais Falls which were impressive after the heavy rain fall. Really enjoyed our overnight stay and the hotel was warm and comfortable.
Lovely little town in the middle of South Wales just up the road from Swansea. Ideal stop if needing a place to stay to watch Swansea football club as only about 10 min drive. Hundreds of selection of restaurants on the main high street. Only negative was the hotel we stayed at could not keep the window open as the it seemed that the people of the town must of used the roads as race ways as it sounded like the fast and the furious. But the hotel it self was lovely.
