Beaches are great.

Beaches are great. The town itself has a relaxed holiday seaside feel. I found it expensive especially for food and drink, and the food in some of the places can be very hit and miss considering what you pay. Go to the Pie Man for great breakfasts and lunch. We enjoyed drinks at Bar Salt and watching the beautiful sunsets from there on the waters edge. All in all a lovely place especially for family holidays and for older couples, but can be costly.

The last time we visited Sheringham was nearly 40 years ago...

The last time we visited Sheringham was nearly 40 years ago and we were a little disappointed with it. My Mum likes boutiques and unusual shops, and we didn't find any. The museum was really interesting and had air-conditioning! Sheringham is surrounded by interesting places and my son and I went to the nature reserve at Cley-next-the-Sea. There are also some lovely pubs for food in the surrounding villages. We just found Sheringham itself was more run down than we remembered it.

not so comercialized as Cromer.Tynside club(even though I recently moved from Sheringham, I would recommed all for holiday makers and locals alike.Plenty of buses and trains. Steam railway is a must. Also Sheringham Park(national Trust),where I lived as a child.

A lovely seaside town, with excellent coasthopper transport links for all along the coast. You can leave the car and walk everywhere. Plenty of food choices except there is no Italian Restaurant!. The town is exceptionally clean and the locals are so friendly.

Its not a big town centre, however it has many interesting...

Its not a big town centre, however it has many interesting shops, eating places, bars, restuarants and the North Norfolk Railway. If visiting it's worth going on the 8 mile journey by steam train or diesel carriages to Holt, but beware that Holt village is a distance to walk too. We had the wonderful 3.30hrs experience having a three course luncheon on the 'The North Norfolkman' steam train as a birthday present. It's recommended.

Great seaside town with equally great venues for food and drink. A visit to the North Norfolk Railway is a not to be missed experience with plenty of heritage steam and diesel trains operating through some great scenery and great stations - a real step back in time.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very welcoming and efficient. We got a parking space just out front of the Tavern, the Fishmongers Tavern is on the main road from Sheringham and Cromer but close enough to walk to Sheringham in 10 minutes. Our room was up stairs please note there is not a lift. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast which was not included in the room price was excellent, apart from the sausage which we both did not like.

A lovely break away from the usual boring hotels. The place is bright,clean and homely. The staff were all exceptional and the location brilliant. A 4 min walk to the station for the Christmas lights steam trip and about the same to the seafront. The breakfast was the best ever according to my chef partner and I heartily agree. Lovely dinner too. Overall I’d give it six stars if I could.

The accommodation was beautiful and in a lovely location and within walking distance of the town centre. It was also very close to The Norfolk Coastal path and the beach. We would highly recommended and would stay again. The breakfast was exceptional and everything was very clean and comfortable. There is also a separate lounge should you not wish to stay in your room.
