Shrivenham is a lovely village with good facilities. We visited the Prince of Wales pub and received a warm welcome. We also visited the Bloomfield Café which sells wonderful food and the staff are very friendly.
We used Shrivenham as a base and ventured into the village only to buy supplies so not qualified to comment fully. It certainly is not the picture perfect English village but is handly as a launching place. Regular buses into Swindon and Oxford. Easy to find off A420. Took train from Swindon to Bath - easy.
