Sue and Mike are wonderful hosts! Their space is not only lovely and well located, but welcoming and cozy. In addition to our room and private bath, we were afforded a lovely sitting area just outside our room. Unfortunately, because of rain we weren’t able to use the lovely outdoor space in the garden, but they do offer a lovely outdoor space as well. Breakfast was cooked to order in the morning and there was plenty on offer. After checkout we were able to leave our car and go out for a hike in the surrounding woods. I recommend this, as it was very beautiful. Mike even lent us hiking poles to use to save my bad knee.

The location was like driving into a fairytale forest. The restaurant was superb, the Chef’s new dishes were delicious! We loved the “Just Beetroot” and “Ham Terrine”, some of the best food experiences we have had in a while. Great location to access the nearby steam train activities and surrounding beautiful countryside.

The breakfast was excellent, good selection. Within walking distance of the train station, shops, and attractions, which was helpful because I was using public transportation.
