King Hotel Tenterden in High Halden provides accommodations with a restaurant, a bar and a garden. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a kettle. It was a privilege to be the first ever guests staying at this stunning hotel. We was greeted by the manager Raja on arrival and showed to our room. The room was spotless, the shower had great power and the bed was a dream sleep. We visited the famous Bangladeshi & Indian restaurant next door ‘The Raja of Kent’ the food was delicious and the staff was amazing. Jags couldn’t have done more for us! We highly recommend this peaceful, friendly, quality break in Kent which is great value for money and there is plenty of free parking. We have enjoyed ourselves so much we was sad to leave! We will definitely be returning in the near future and recommending to family and friends :) From Micky & Hayley

Located in Tenterden in the Kent region, Potts Farm features a garden. The accommodations is 27 mi from Canterbury, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. Potts Farm was absolutely beautiful. I would highly reccomend if you are looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside. It has a beach within a 30 minute drive and a lovely highstreet about 10 minute's drive away with supermarkets and restaurants. You can spend the day on a Row Boat, Canoeing or Body Boarding on the river not to far from Potts Farm. Stephen and Kate the owners of the farm are very accomidating and lovely/helpful people. The cottage itself was a dream to stay in as it was so clean and beautifully decorated with shampoo / conditioner, toilet roll, kitchen appliances and a stocked fridge (at an extra cost) with fresh produce from local farms. I can't wait to stay at Potts Farm again. My favourtite thing about it is that if you walk out your door you will see breathtaking views of the country side / farm with lovely sheep. You are able to walk anywhere around the land and if you like to have evening walks you can go down to their lake and sit on the decking on chairs provided and take in the lovely sunset. !000000% would reccomend to stay here.

Woodgate Farm is located in beautiful countryside close to Rye and Hastings. There are wonderful gardens, streams, ponds and woodland to enjoy in the grounds. Breakfast super, Reception super, Cleanliness super, Location super, Friendliness super
We had planned to stay for 2 days but unfortunately , due to health problems had to extend our stay to 5 days. This was too long. We were also not in a position to really appreciate what Tenterden had to offer.
Tenterden is a lovely small town and is an affluent area with lots of nice shops and upmarket eateries and bars. Good access to a selection of national trust properties, Kent and East Sussex preserved steam railway. Also only about a half hour drive to the south coast - Hastings, Bexhill on Sea, St Leonard’s on Sea etc. Also, Rye, Winchelsea, Camber Sands, Lewes are great places. Another preserved narrow gauge railway is the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch. Loads to see and do. If shopping is your thing, then Ashford has a large Designer outlet, where I dropped loads of money! If you want London, then regular trains from Staplehurst station takes less than 1 hour and the prices are reasonable. A day trip is easily doable.
We thoroughly enjoyed Tenterden. Vegetarian options were limited when we went out in the evening. We visited National Trust properties nearby ,Tenterden proved a very good location apart from being a lovely town.
Not great for shopping, what made our stay was the people so friendly and helpful had a couple of great afternoons found a quirky little place called the Ancient Boro great little tapas bar and locally brewed cider, also one of the locals told us about the Old Dairy Brewery had a great afternoon chatting great mix of people all had travelled to go there says it all just an old cow shed and lovely people also had an Italian BBQ van turn up, did not try it but good idea.
Beautiful architecture in quaint and pretty small town. Steam railway with museum, town museum, an array of interesting independent shops in tree lined main street, with attractive cafes and pubs, makes it a lovely place to relax and wander round.
stayed in Tenterden as given a voucher to visit the Chapl Down Winery and did not want to drive. Chapel Down great wine tasting and meal. 11-15 - 15.30. We the walked down the road to Small Hythe Place National Trust (going as recommended via a gate at the back of the church) i
The hosts were really friendly and welcoming couldn't do enough to make our stay go well. The property was full of character and had a lovely cottage garden where we spent a lot of time. The bed was so comfy and breakfast was a good selection In addition a great location a short walk into Tenterden where there was a good selection of pubs and restaurants.
