Torquay is very hilly but despite this my sisters and I had a great weekend. There are places to visit but a lot of them are weather dependant and many museums close on Sundays. Plenty of restaurants around the city centre - very varied and good quality.

Torquay is always a lovely place to visit and within easy reach of the lovely seaside towns of Dawlish, Teignmouth, Brixham and Dartford. At the moment a lot of repaving work is going on around the harbour and so we are looking forward to visiting again when the work is completed.

Torquay was once a great place to visit but it looked tired and run down now. A half empty shopping centre and an empty Debenhams where down and outs congregate at night.
On the positive the local transport network is excellent.

Torquay was a great Base. Was last here 20 years ago.
Torquay was a great Base. Was last here 20 years ago. Beach is OK, next door in Paignton has better beachfront. Town centre not great but nice places to visit if you travel. Cockington Country Park, Paignton, Brixham. Buckfast Abbey is a bigger distance to travel but well worth it.
Eating out varies in price.
Wendy @ Steve are the most friendly @ perfect hosts, nothing was ever to much trouble. The food was excellent in both
