Located in Towcester in the Northamptonshire region, The Old Chapel Boutique B&B features accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. Elaine made us feel so welcome and went out of her way to be kind to us, we would recommend her B&B without hesitation. She left treats out for us such as fruit, cookies, juice, milk and soda pop which we really appreciated. An added bonus is that this B&B is close to the Grand Canal and we really enjoyed walking along the historic canal tow path and seeing how the canal locks work and seeing the long boats.

Horse racing and antique hunting.country pubs . Does have take away joints indian chip shops Chinese, etc. Nice old town with good variety of non high street chain shops i.e. Not the usual "sports direct ,top shop .rubbish . that can be found in coventry or daventry.
It was 8 miles away from Silverstone so very handy. We dropped our friends at the circuit and met them in Silverstone village after and went back to hotel down country roads away from the crowds. Seemed to be what a lot of people did to get away from circuit.
We didn’t have time to explore this town properly as we spent the day and evening at a wedding in a small village outside the town. However from what we did have a chance to see we think it merits exploring on a future trip.
Our families live locally-the main reason for staying at The Saracen's Head. Interesting and attractive villages. NT properties within easy reach. We ate at local restaurants - see earlier comment re hotel eating.
We came here to go to Silverstone and before our arrival I was genuinely worried that there wouldn't be much else to do with our weekend but I don't think we've had such a busy weekend in a long time! You're spoilt for choice for places to eat (highly recommend The Fox and Hounds) and you're not far from Northampton or Milton Keynes. In one day we went to Silverstone, went shopping, had afternoon tea at the Hilton, relaxed in a sauna/steam room/Jacuzzi and had a swim and went for a lovely meal. Whilst there I saw lots of advertisements for other things that I probably would have booked had I known they were happening!
