Enjoying stunning loch views, The Ferry Boat Inn in Ullapool offers rooms with attached bathroom in the Scottish Highlands. Great location overlooking the harbour made this hotel/pub the centre of the village life. Seafood meal in the evening was fresh and good value for money. Recommend to eat here as limited restaurants in the town, so book in advance
Set in Ullapool, Harbor House has a garden. This guest house offers luggage storage space and free WiFi. The private bathroom is fitted with a bath or shower. Everything was perfect! Location, room, breakfast, communication, very easy check in, comfortable beds... Thank you very much for a great hospitality!

RIVERSIDE is located in Ullapool, 984 feet from the harbor and ferries to Stornoway. Free WiFi and parking is available. The rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. I will be recommending this property.
Ullapool Youth Hostel, located on Ullapool seafront, offers views over Loch Broom and the Beinn Dearg mountain range. Rooms in the hostel vary in size, including private rooms. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, great facilities, spotlessly clean room with en suite.
Located in Ullapool, Ardvreck House features a shared lounge, garden and free WiFi throughout the property. All units in the guest house are equipped with a kettle. Exterior and interiors could easily be featured in Architecture Digest. All the spaces were well maintained and or updated. The staff anticipated all our needs. The views across the loch were spectacular; lambs, hundreds of them, jumping and cavorting through the air, seeing a car ferry coming into port, rainbows along with howling winds. Afternoon bake goods, tea or coffee, glassware for your personal needs. This BB is one of my two best experiences during six trips to Scotland.

I have visited Ullapool regularly since 1966 and enjoyed many a good night there in the pubs but recently prices have gone through the roof my last visit on the 15/09/22 will be my last as l refuse to pay their exorbitant prices, £5.95 for house lager in the Seaforth and only to be told by a local that they charged me a service charge for a drink l collected myself from the bar really hacked me off, good riddance to Ullapoo
We were warned about a scheduled power cut ay 21.00h and when we went for a walk there were some lights around the harbour probably on a back up generator. There are a number of practical and touristy shops with places to sit and enjoy the lapping of the waves on the shore. The people are very friendly and helpful.
Ullapool is a bit expensive for food, but is close to the Assynt and the Geo Park and also has a ferry service. A very good base for anyone visiting the HIghlands. It is also the main shopping centre for this part of Scotland and has a reasonable sized supermarket. It also has a good small bookshop and the people are very friendly. It has several churches and many shared religious buildings for those of less common denominations. It also has a good general store which sells kit for those who are venturing out into the wilds thereabouts. In the summer there are also plenty of boat trips for those who wish to go out and see the local wildlife. There is also a small art gallery and a reasonable number of places to eat, catering for all age groups. YOu may need to look hard to find some of them. The view from Ullapool Hill is worth the effort of reaching its summit. Its not a difficult climb, though some parts are steep and the path can be slippery after rain. Be warned that you will probably need insect repellent in the warmer months, has the midges are quite ferocious when they are active. However, I would not let this put you off enjoying the view. Finally, if you get the chance, travel around The Assynt by the coast road and enjoy one of the Pie in the Lochinver Larder.
Location was stunning, welcome was warm and the cake & coffee upon arrival was both most welcome and very good indeed. We walked along the beach (wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for some unconventional clambering, at times) into Ullapool itself - great walk and scenery. We had booked dinner in The Arch, which was excellent. Taxi back. Slept like a log on a very comfy bed and pillow. Breakfast was excellent - preparation and presentation. A one-night treat for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed it, before our journey over to Lewis & Harris ... but that's another story!
Ullapool was a lovely town. There was a seafood shack that had fresh fish menu open till 6, Pub that served food and a restaurant on the harbour too. The summer isle boat trip is a must, We seen a Sea Eagle, and lots of seals. And the stories about each isle were very interesting. Lovely sitting in the harbour with an ice cream.
The centre of Ullapool has great local shops as well as a large supermarket , The Sea food shack and the Cult cafe are really excellent places to eat , however there are many others I have not yet sampled. The ferry terminal is the main event of the port however the sea is visible around almost every corner and never far from sight. The town centre is based on a fishing village with the cottages arranged originally in a grid formation which has been retained so the streets are parallel to each other and simple to navigate, but parking can be tricky in the centre when it is busy.
Most comfy bed i have ever slept on! I couldnt get up in the morning! Pub/restaurant area had a buzzing atmosphere and it is on the main street in ullapool. I accidentally left my apple fast charger in the room and they posted it back to me free of charge despite my offering to pay postage. Saving me £30 on a new one! Netflix on the tv in the room. Lovely staff. Dog friendly. We will be back!
Very friendly staff and allowed me to store my luggage before check-in and after check-out. I last stayed here 15 years ago and it wasn't as nice as it is now. Although there are bunk beds, the mattresses were comfortable. It is the most reasonable in terms of nightly rates to stay in Ullapool now, especially most of the other hotels and B&Bs have put their rates up to about 110%.
Clean rooms, great breakfast. Garden area is lovely and looks out over Ullapool and the loch. Hotel is 5 mins walk from the town centre and has plenty of off road parking. Hosts Alan and Ghillian were so welcoming - whiskey on arrival and anything we wanted they would happily arrange (within reason).
The location is perfect for scenic views over Ullapool. Room was beautifully decorated with comfy bed and gorgeous smooth cotton bed linen. Best cooked breakfast We’ve had in a long time. Immaculate Hotel which the owners are rightly very proud of as it’s their home too. Highly recommended.
This hotel is in a good location if you are using the ferries to the islands. Check-in was straight forward, and the staff were happy, attentive, and good fun. All the staff, from breakfast, to reception, were cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style, plentiful, and hot.
Good helpful and very experienced proprietors. Good convenient position, but no views. Clean and comfortable accommodation, with most things that you would need. Excellent guest lounge available. Good breakfast and promptly served. Very reasonably priced.
Beautiful views, convenient and close to Ullapool. Jamie gave us such a warm welcome, and was very helpful in giving us suggestions of things to do around the area. Breakfast was great, and room was quiet and comfortable.
Perfect location for the Ullapool ferry terminal (200 yards!). The the food and service were tremendous! Great breakfast too! The whole package was perfect prior to moving on to Lewis. Highly recommend this property:)
Chris and her husband were excellent friendly hosts. Lovely clean rooms paired with an excellent breakfast in the morning. Very convenient and a short walk to the main Ullapool waterfront.
Cosy room with good view (front of Hotel). Excellent breakfast and friendly staff and good bar meals. Great location.
We loved every thing about this place. Hosts were very helpful. Breakfast was very good and you could enjoy a nice view of the Loch. You can even go out in the garden. The room was very nice and they thought of every, even a hot water bottle. In one of the drawers there was a Bible. This we found no were on our trip. We will be very happy to stay at the property again.
