It îs a wonderfull island. It seems much larger than it looks. An interesting history and wonderfull people. The food is great. The trips around the island are revealing great landscapes. I strongly reccoment a visit.

In the small town there are numerous good restaurants with traditional Greek cuisine and fish specialties, street food is recommended, pastry shops with hand-made ice cream. The location of the hotel is outstanding. It is located on a hill overlooking the bay. There are amazing beaches nearby, more and more beautiful: Aliky, Megali Amos, St. George and numerous others. Fine sand, shallow clean sea, crystal clear water, lovely beach bars.

Ammouliani is a great place to visit. The beaches are wonderful. There are quite a lot of them, so it is easy to find a cosy spot. I would advise for a family holiday though, as there isn't much night life going on.

Island is the piece of Greece I remember! People from Ammouliani are warm and friendly. Island is green, with a few properties for tourist. All reastaurants are clean with good honest food. I have impression they serve what they would be eating at their homes. I do appreciate that kind of simplicity and honesty. Beaches and sea is really clean. We were at the Ammouliani on the end of May, and just a few visitors are up to our taste. Highly recommended!

We found some of the best beaches - clean, warm water and good seafood restaurants with excellent view and services. It's quite small, and pretty much all the restaurants and markets were within the walking distance, IF you stay near the center. Beaches might require mode of transportation other than walking as they 1 to 2km away. Strongly recommend renting a boat to go to Drenia island or circle around the island to view which beach to stay in the following days.

Ammouliani is a a very typical, small greek island - very beautiful views, calm and relaxed with less tourists. The village is wonderful - great tavernas with fresh food, a few bars, bakeries, small shops, etc. You can reach all the beaches on the island quickly within just 5 - 10 min drive. For young couples, we definately recommend Bongo Beach Bar - it's the nicest place on the island to spend your evenings. It's just outside the village reachable by a very short walk. For dining, our favourite place was Tzanis. However, anywhere you eat on the island, you most probably will not be disappointed and will alwyas be served fresh food. Another hidden gem is Banana Beach bar - again great for couples but mind the road it's not suitable for low cars. The other two beaches that we loved the most are of course Alikes beach and Karagatsi beach.
